So far Millennia's in the lead because it has a working demo while the Ara beta asked to do some shady shit to my PC and the devs never responded in the support forums to explain why they needed it.
Part of the first time setup on steam asked to activate the Host Process for Windows Services process, which I've never seen any other program ask to do. They could've just coded their game in a braindead way that requires extra permissions to use the proprietary tools they'd have access to as they're being published by microsoft, but since they never responded in the beta forum I never bothered starting up the game.
It's funny to me, that If I don't trust the game installer to do stupid shit, then I pirate it instead, because I'm sure that the warez/repackers would get blacklisted if their installer did any shady shit, compared to publishers who can frick you with impunity.
Huh....? Wha....? b...b...but why would it need to install are they gonna be able to see my data.....why would I need to install.....nah man this is weird frick this.
In my opinion all the interesting stuff is over there on the left side. I really like that domain system. Adds a lot things to do that I haven't seen in a 4x before.
Ara's gameplay looks like shit but the visuals of the cities and fields are next level.
Millennia has a shoe string visual budget but the gameplay is fun.
Odd how they form this weird ying yang.
No mainstream strategy game is hard or complex, paracuck, total war, age, civ, etc are all pretty simple games, unless you use some mods adding absurd levels of bloat, people don't play it because they don't like larping while we do
Neither. They are both soulless creatively bankrupt ripoffs. If you want me to play your game, create something original.

Considering how almost every pirated game is portable nowadays, not only is installing not an excuse but it's not even necessary.
what was this guy's problem
He installed the Ara beta.
buy an ad
Stop spamming
What the hell is this even, another civ lite but with unit stacks?

>paracucks are making a civ copy-cat
>demo is released
>"wtf cuh is this a copy paste of civ?"

>A strategy game for the thinker
Hey, that's me!
Really makes you think
>smart mans games
What if you're too stupid to know you're not playing optimally and just unga bunga your way through every game?
I will purchase and enjoy both and there's nothing anyone here can do to stop me.
Most strategy gamers are just morons who like history or think armies are cool.
Id take the civ clone that at least wants to be a civ clone instead of the one that pretends its not
straight down the middle. balance in all things.
>2024
>still no game where you can commit post-battle mass rape of the local population as the Soviets
never happened
my grandpa was a RedArmy rape-baby
Do rapebabies hate their dads for raping their mom or do they cope by thinking he's chad and they'll be rapists too?
no idea, he died from methanol poisoning when my dad was 5
>tell some historical battle that didn´t have rapes.
>spoiler: good luck with that.
gsg with rape characteristics
This but a game where I can mass rape the Tutsi as the Hutu.
There are plenty of eroge strategy games that you can do that, but you need to larp as another world's soviets
A man can dream…

what game below?
C&C Generals.
Anyone that took one look at this board would never call RTS the 'smart man's genre' lmao
>strategy game for the thinker
>releases CK3 and Vic3
Pure comedy
>a strategy game for the thinker
>paradox interactive
lost
they could do both. Simple yet complex for returning players
Name one example that isn't just a difficulty selection.
I like Ara's style more but Millennia is superior for the sole fact that they say aliens will be in it.

>''Smart Man's Games''
that's offensive to BIPOCs
where is the lie tho.
