While Gankertards have their mouths agape over Cyberpunk, let's talk about why the Shadowrun Trilogy are the best Cyberpunk games of all time.

I believe that if we ever got another one, it would be shit.
Didn't Harebrained go under after VTMB2 collapsed?
wait vtmb2 was being made by Harebrained?
VTMB2 was Hardsuit Lab, not Harebrained
kek I'm moronic
notice how the entire cast of Dragonfall is white and it's the most kino game in the entire series.
Man frick the writers for the last bit of Hong Kong's dlc. I couldn't just let Duncan get his life back while I stay shadowrunning?
We actually did get another one, set in Boston. It was a mobile game, and to no one's surprise it was shit. They went under. Company was grossly mismanaged to all hell.
I wonder if we'll ever be able to have more Shadowrun games.
The second game improves greatly. Everybody agrees the first one is shit.
I disagree, the first one is alright, just short.
these are some of the most woke games I ever played, especially dragonfall where the whole setting is like a gigantic fricking san francisco leftard nightmare and the game acts like its something good, lol
this is exactly the kind of stuff Ganker hates in videogames
yeah
harebrained is hard leftist, and it makes sense, the entire dev team are incels desperate for pussy and validation
>leftist
>incels desperate for pussy
Doesn't make sense. Chuds and rightoids are the ones who can't breed.
nobody cares what a barely literate third worldlet has to say about writing.
Didn't play Returns. Heard it was bad.
Loved Dragonfall.
Played HK for up until the semi-last mission. Got too bored waiting for it to get good and just lost all interest and quit. Also, their depiction of real-world HK is completely wrong and is blatantly obviously seen through the lens of a Westerner. The Chinese and Mandarin-language vibes (HK is predominantly Cantonese-speaking and has its own unique mixed culture with historically British influences) overtakes it a bit too much and you end up with China culture instead of HK. Doesn't help that this game was made before the National Security act where HK's freedoms were taken away and Communists took over.
Wrong Shadowrun, chum.
after much consideration this might be the only shadowrun game i give a shit about kek

>Notice: Shadowrun Chronicles - Boston Lockdown is no longer available on the Steam store.
lol what a shitshow
I backed Returns on Kickstarter and never played it. Still have the doc wagon card lying around somewhere.
Never played other games in the series either.
Dragonfall is great. I highly recommend it.
I want to lick Gobbet's armpits.
your tongue would probably fall off
Based.
Love this stinky orc like you wouldn't believe.
I'm surprised there's not much belly stuffing pictures of her, since she loves to eat so much.
Can you point out screenshots of what's woke to you? I'm currently working on getting all trophies for Hong Kong.
Ganker loves Racter.
Phone games with garbage woke writing.
Man, it'd be nice if Catalyst/Tops wasn't shit and we got Shadowrun under an open license so people could make fricking games in it without having to suck corporate dick...
Then again that's actually rather in keeping with the spirit of things isn't it.
I'll keep dreaming of a team based Shadowrun FPS, somewhere cross between DRG and Payday 2.
the syndicate reboot had a coop mode that was a little bit like that, wish some other company would take a stab at it
Jesus christ you made me check, I though another Syndicate game had come out but no, that was the 2012 reboot. Are there there any Shadowrun fans under 30 these days...
>woke garbage
You are a black hole of a human being that actively reduces the joy in his vicinity. Shadowrun has to have highly "woke" elements so that the crushing dystopian vibes hit correctly. Go shit up another thread.
The first one was pretty much a demo for the editor. The story isn't great if you're familiar with SR, plus they added some insufferable Mary Sues. The showdown is extremely tedious if you didn't build your character in a certain way.
Dragonfall was at first merely an addon for Returns, but offered more interesting companions, more choices, better missions and a better plot.
Hong Kong sorta dragged on too long for my liking but it was alright
>one of the missions won't load if you have HD textures turned off
Hong Kong was weird
the engine used in the shadowrun games is held together with spit and mud
>save the city from bugs
>save the city from dragon
>save the city from demon
>save the city from police
I want to do crimes to corporations, not play hero
You mean those borderline mobile games that might as well be VN's?
They're shit and I'm tired of everyone pretending they're not everytime someone remembers they exist.
>he has no actual criticisms worth a damn so he has to fall back on the old "game I don't like is a VN" moronation
The criticisms are implied in the sentence, moron-kun.
Shit UI, braindead one click gameplay, zero strategy, super linear, shit graphics/art direction, the list goes on.
I thought I was in a Starfield thread for a moment.
These are literally mobile games. Why are you rapid fire spamming shitty crpgs in the catalogue?
>Literally mobile games
>Literally crowd funded CRPGS for PC not available on mobile platforms
have a nice day
Yeah they're great. Not hard to get into. Play on hard though so it's actually a good challenge. XCOM style combat.
>not available on mobile platforms
They are and they're made by a mobile game company, which is why they play like bootleg budget nucom and are designed for little kids.
are these games a good intro to the genre for a noob? I think I have them all free on the Epic client
why are you asking Gankertards?
if you've got them for free just play one (maybe skip Returns since the oldest and jankiest)
just play bg3, it's approachable/not overly complex and looks good
if you like that, then start looking into other isometric rpgs
>are these games a good intro to the genre for a noob
No, go play baldurs gate 1 and fallout 1. These are more like dead unpopular games that lonely grifters will say anything to have someone to discuss the game with, as they are braindead games that appeal to their gorilla woman (repressed homosexuality) fetish.
>BG1/F1
If you're gonna tell him to play those you might as well just let him playing the Shadowrun games since you clearly want him to hate the genre lmao.
Honestly yeah, the character building is pretty simplistic and if you've played nuXcom the combat will be familiar to you. Dragonfall and Hong Kong are the good ones, Returns is basically a demo that might turn you off the series with how barebones it is so I wouldn't suggest playing that one first.
Definitely not, they are barely even RPGs.
Shan't play mobile games
I don't like Hong Kong
companions were rather shit
>broody mutt brother, he is never fricking happy, all too eager to be corporate bootlicker again
>isobel, bipolar disorder, begs for help only to do complete 180
>the rat c**t, disgusting fujo
Gaichu and Racter are cool
Rat c**t is fun though
i played the first 2 on hard but 3 on hard is busting my balls, should i restart or try to git gud
Shit visuals, bland stories.
Recommend me exactly 1 (one) game in this trilogy to play
dragonfall
JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO CLIMB EIGER DOESN'T MAKE HER A GOOD CHARACTER
Are they worth replaying though?
You can try different builds for your main. I recommend Decker/Rigger (even in KG, there's nothing wrong with having two Riggers in the party).
DMS isn't worth replaying (maybe not even worth playing at all).
>magic elements
not interested and not cyberpunk
t. Gibson
weather there is magic or not is irrelevant.
cyberpunk is high tech, low life.
thats all it is.
as long as technology is involved and life generally is shitty its cyberpunk even if elves are running around.
especially if elves are running around with cyber eyes and rifles or laser swords.
I only have fond memories of Dragonfall. Carried by the story pacing and characters.
Returns and Hong Kong are forgettable.
WHAT THE FRICK WAS THIS homieS PROBLEM
YOU LITERALLY GOT MINDFRICKED BY A MAGE AND THIS homie SEETHES AT YOU FOR NOT TAKING REVENGE
He's a literal homosexual, that should explain everything.
Dragonfall was the best
I only like Hongkong because it rewards your autism of speaking to NPC's into basically telling God to frick off after u lawyered it
