these are two of my favorites, Ganon (and most heavies like DK) are based, Little Mac is pure fun, rewards spacing and feels good to play

I love punch out, but I have no idea how you actually have fun playing that character, not a single kill with him feels satisfying, you're shit tier yet also carried
probably little mac. ganon is shit but at least his moveset functions in the air. Little mac is the only character in the whole game that has a recovery where you might not actually be able to make it back
Little Mac has far, far better horizontal recovery than Ganondorf has better vertical recovery than Little Mac. Little Mac only had universally shitty recovery in 4, Ultimate he can easily make it back to the stage if he isn't hit at a low angle, and may not even need his jump for it.
If Ganondorf reaches the edge of the screen he has to work fricking hard to get back unless he went to the very upper corner, and he's going to be easy as frick to read on his way back, and hilariously you can gimp him by deliberately jumping into warlock dive if he's forced to use it far enough away , since the backwards travel sends him horizontally farther away than getting a second dive will bring him towards the stage. Overall Ganondorf has a much worse recovery than Little Mac.

A bad off-stage follow-up is enough to kill you and navigating each fight is a fricking minefield, but damn if he isn't satisfying to play as. God, I love him.

Mac's neutral is far better, to the point in neutral I would put him top 10. What kills him is platform camping. GOOD platform camping. If the Mac can somehow work around this, he can win but it is very hard.
Dorf inversely has a much worse neutral but he is always two or three trades from killing someone. He also can't get platform camped.
I suck at recovering so I play Ridley. A million jumps and a side-B and up-B that travels far. I can just stall off stage or get hit a few times and still be fine. Cloud is my secondary despite being a better character on paper than Ridley because getting dicked off stage is such a weakness for me as a player.
I don't know how Mac or Ganongays do it. Oh wait, they don't, that's why they're low tier. How hard is it to just buff their recovery a little? Mac is a lot of fun to play but I can't imagine trying to actually git gud with him without raging.
Just look at the players described as some of the best in the world at shitty characters. They never get far in real tourneys and they still get pissed when losing so how can they be having fun?

It's just the story time and time again. I sometimes run into a Mac and I'm like "Holy shit, this is the best Mac I've ever seen" and then by the second match I can't lose against him even if I tried. They're just naturally easy to download or something because their options suck I guess.
Ganondorf, mainly because he doesn't have any sort of defense whatsoever. You make Ganondorf shield, what does he do? He's stuck with rolling or jumping because he has the worst OOS options in the entire game.

Dodge and attack from afar until I notice any kind of pattern to their attacks and then go full melee and exploit it until I win

Ganon has nintendo shitty netcode and nair I guess.

Something about the animations correlating with the amount of damage he does is incredibly satisfying. Sure he's combo fodder and any mistake is a costly one but sometimes you get one good hit in and you even the playing field. I will never forgive hackurai for getting rid of ganonciding tho.

If you play any character with a projectile, you already have a great advantage against Ganon

What do you find fun about him? He’s just a slow Captain Falcon with Ike’s smash attacks, he’s really boring and lazy.
