I grew out of console wars when I was 16 or so, so I dont have an opinion really
the industry is destroying itself with shitty games I cant imagine spending $70 on new games they are all shitty rushed unfinished buggy garbage
I don't think it's a terrible service. Actually the problem is that it's too good for its price, that's how they're getting customers.
It's bad for the industry in the long run obviously, because it's not sustainable in the long term, but for customers it's pretty much the best deal out there right now.
GaaS is not nearly as harmful as mtx, season passes and dlc. Not even as harmful as preorders.
I've played a few games through this I wouldn't have otherwise, but on a whole it's a lot of garbage and I've always bought games I actually liked here enough to buy on another service. Gunfire reborn was fun, I just wish it had more content.

Destroying? Nah.
But it's lost a whole lot of value for me personally, it keeps removing games I like and want to play, and adding in more indiesloppa that I'd never touch, so I went from staying subbed, to subbing for usually a 3 month period, and now I sub one month usually on a new account for the $1 deal (if it ever comes back).
Just isn't worth it, I get nothing out of it anymore besides MS owned titles that I don't really care about anyway.

These services just fill the same role as game rentals which are long dead by now.

I only ever keep it for a month at a time. Play 2 or 3 games half a year. I'd never keep it year round.

$15 bucks last month for many hours of Starfield and Lies of P. It’s not bad. Yea it’s a rental service but I rarely replay games I completed.
