Maybe I'm biased but I really do think Gen 8 might be the most hated generation, after Pokeshills realized they didn't need to defend SWSH anymore, it was completely dropped, hardly anyone seems to like the dex, no one asks for Dynamaxing back, the characters with the most staying power were co-opted by fujos, and the dex is very weak in terms of popularity barring like, Dragapult.

i think newgen mons are pretty cool actually, and even the ugly ones like morgrem are full of personality. in my opinion basically only nickit and thievul are BAD out of the galar dex, the rest are varying degrees of "pretty good" to "legitimately great". the fossil mons especially are brilliant monster designs, total freaks.
what's wrong with those two? they're just basic early game foxes
i think they're really half baked and unappealing designs. they look out of place and unpolished, like they should have been caught in quality control and either redesigned or cut altogether. very generic, way too cartoonish, weirdly derivative of swiper the fox from dora the explorer for some reason, and i also think the moustache just looks really stupid. nickit's head is also super fricked up and huge, they both have really unrefined proportions in my opinion. definitely needed another revision or two to meet the series general design standards.
