Ive never played a game I'd call waifubait, maybe neptunia.
Either way most of these anime rpgs are actually quite deep and nobody really talks about that side of them
IX gets too much flak. I liked it better than Seven and Celceta. It just had the misfortune of following up an actual masterpiece like VIII. Also Doll best girl.
He's just simply too powerful. Bumping into monsters and making them explode into gibs, idk anyone else who can do that. I wish Falcom would give official releases to some other games of theirs in the west like Xanadu. I hear Sorcerian on PC88 is one of the better versions but that's not in English sadly. How's the MS-DOS version we did get in English?
I might be, yeah. I had thought it was Adol but maybe I got things mixed up. Been a little bit since I did a OiF playthrough. My most replayed games in the series are 1 and 2.
I thought it was more like Adol went to the North Pole and then was just never seen again.
Yes canonically Adol dies at the north pole at 65 years old.
Of course that's just according to the history books, who knows what actually happens to him at the north pole, but regardless everyone thinks he's dead.
I don't hate it but I think it's just okay. The music isn't as good, the visuals remind me more of a Square game of the time, it's short but also surprisingly easy. I'd how well V Expert adjusts difficulty but the initial release was kind of a snooze fest at times. I did like the story though.
>took "breastplate" too seriously
Are the recent entries worth it or is it just waifubait
You won't find arpgs more kino than ys period

literally any boat
X's demo is fun, dunno the full game
Boats just can't contain his chad energy
Ys 8 is unironic kamige
Ys 9 is eh, not terrible but not particularly great either.
Ys X is looking good, whenever the translation drops.
>>Ys 8 is unironic kamige
would you mind elaborating?
"kamige" - short for kami gameu which translates directly as "God game". Basically Japanese slang for a game that is really fricking good.
yes, what I would like to know what anon liked so much in the game to call it kamige, hard to find decent impressions on action titles like this
Exploring the island gives you a real sense of adventure. The music is god tier. Combat is fun. Characters are likable.
Climbing the mountain that separates the mountain and seeing the other side is one of my most memorable memories in gaming.
Dana Mobile looks like its building up to be a genshin clone for some reason.

ys is amazing, try lacrimosa or Nox Pact
Falcom

ill beat him off
Unless your handjob is a new adventure or your name is Feena I doubt he'd be interested
Just gotta finish Toal on Nightmare... then I can finally move on...
Why would you want to move on? Toal nightmare is peak Ys, it's all downhill from there.
Just tell him he already explored the entire world and there's no more adventuring to be had.
Doesn't he canonically kill himself after he explores the entire world? I remember reading that somewhere
I thought it was more like Adol went to the North Pole and then was just never seen again.
You're thinking of the old dude from felghana
I might be, yeah. I had thought it was Adol but maybe I got things mixed up. Been a little bit since I did a OiF playthrough. My most replayed games in the series are 1 and 2.
At that point I assume he ascends to godhood and spends eternity exploring heaven with the harem of god-wives he's collected.
