i feel x and y isnt that regarded as being terrible but rather just forgettable especially rolling off the back of BW2. the game is a brain-dead easy (for a pokemon game) and has aged terribly

Gen 6 sucks because there's no third version, X/Y are better than D/P and arguably even R/S. There's no third version because GF was scared shitless of yokai watch at the time and rushed out gen 7 instead to compete, it was also around that point Masuda developed an intense phobia of smartphones which is part of the reason the games after gen 5 are so bad.

Blue sold more, Silver sold more, Diamond sold more, as well as Black, X, Moon and Sword. The only exception was Ruby, maybe because Groudon looks more edgy. Is GF aware of this and that's why they'll never make a dual release with two bright colors?
