Better in terms of what? The soul stealing? I don't think they're really comparable. Both were really good.
They're both pale, long-nosed schizo bosses that trick the protagonists into thinking they're friends, send them on an errant to make them more powerful, then try to steal the protag's soul to fully ascend. Both fights take place in their spooky basements. Both fights have a heart attack with the villains' face on it. Both learn their lessons after getting decimated and become real friends with the protagonist.
They're both based on the Kirby villain Marx who himself is based on Karl Marx, the infamous israeli trickster. They also take qualities from Nightmare with his ethereal nature and long nose.
Saltbaker is the better boss. Beat Spamtom first time. This is comparing apples and oranges though, both are completely different

Both fail because the protagonists' two friends come to help him.
The one that doesn't look like a troony.
Which one's that, anon?

yes
I love Spamton, but Saltbaker is the better boss
>That part where he grabs you, grows to giant size, snaps his fingers, and laughs maniacally.
This is like an infant equation. Your taste is so unrefined you just compare most recent popular thing with the other most recent popular thing.
You would have a point if not for the fact that they have the exact same basic plot.
Chef Saltbaker > Esther Winchester > Angel & Devil > The King's Leap > Mortimer Freeze > The Moonlight Mob > The Howling Aces > Glumstone the Giant
Chef Saltbaker >>> Esther Winchester > Howling Aces > Moonshine Mob >>> Mortimer Freeze > Glumstone the Giant >>>>> King's Leap >>>>> Angel & Devil
Spamton has better writing and characterization, Saltbaker has presence and animation kino. Literally as it should be.
They're both based on the Kirby villain Marx who himself is based on Karl Marx, the infamous israeli trickster. They also take qualities from Nightmare with his ethereal nature and long nose.
Have any of you beat Saltbaker with only the peashooter?
What's your favorite weapon?
either roundabout or converge.
The Charge shot and crackshot
