He was the idea man behind the multiplayer aspects of Souls games, but given with each passing entry they just remove invasion aspects more and more I would say nothing.
Kind of funny considering that the best multiplayer in a Souls game is in DS2, which he had nothing to do with, and people had to mod ER to get decent multiplayer in that one.

That's the issue I'm talking about though. One unique aspect of Souls games is invasion system. And it's been downhill ever since Bloodborne. No one talks about BB invasions because host has to actively chase invasions in order for them to happen. You need to chime a coop bell and then silence it if you want to be invaded. You can kill bell maiden before anyone comes too. Demon's Souls had the best system because being human actually matters in that game. Even for non-coop players. DS3 had the same idea but invasion priority being on coop players also ruins it, also you can pop an ember just before fog gate in DS3 anyways. With each passing entry butchering invasion system or making it harder to invade players I wouldn't be surprised if From decides to remove them altogether in their next game, or hell even in SotE DLC with an item allowing you to have seamless coop just like the PC mod. Seamless coop mod being the most popular ER mod by far makes me think Fromsoft will just ditch invasions or make the host actively search out for them to happen just like BB.
