You're either forgetting Johto, or willfully ignoring it. It's the 25th anniversary of GS's original release and 15th anniversary of HGSS's release in Japan this year, no way we get nothing. It's going to be shit so I'd rather nothing but I'm not going to pretend it's not going to happen.
>You're either forgetting Johto, or willfully ignoring it.
Right, I don't think they're going to touch it this gen when all signs point to Unova. All the anniversaries in the world won't change how laser focused the Indigo Disk was on hyping up gen 5.
> You're either forgetting Johto, or willfully ignoring it.
Just like Game Freak and TPC >It's the 25th anniversary of GS's original release and 15th anniversary of HGSS's release in Japan
Game Freak has never paid attention to any anniversaries except KANTOOOOOOOO’s
Who said anything about waiting two years for another release, you deranged little cumrag? They're absolutely releasing games for '24 aqnd '235. But the Gen 5 remake isn't happening until Gen 10, which will likely mean not 'till 2028 (because Gen 10 and DLC will be '26 and '27). >inb4 "no, you don't understand, they're going to ignore the anniversary and release Gen 10 in '25 then spend the anniversary trying to shill stuff iwith DLC hype111"
>This year: Johto revisit of some sort (NOT
a Legends title) >Kanto DLC for the Johto revisdit
I'll concede it's just as likely they make something akin to LGPE, a VERY kiddy title to get people buying SwitchUps in 2025 before launching Gen 10 in 2026, but there's no Unova game. It's not time to remake it, that's why the DLC was set off the coast of Unova, featuring a cast of characters from the region.

If we even get a Johto revisit this gen - which I doubt - it'd come with Kanto like Johto always has. What I expect is Unova this year, be it a remake or a revisit, which will be dropped complete without DLC like BDSP and Arceus were, then probably Gen 10 or MAYBE a Johto game as the first release on the next console. The switch is being phased out right now, there's absolutely no way whatever they launch this year will be getting substantial DLC no matter what it is, and I don't see much reason to expect this year's release to be anything but a Unova game with how hard they've pushed it the last few months between the Indigo Disk and that new stop motion show. If Johto is getting a game they're sure doing a poor job telegraphing it, which hasn't really been the case before.

Anon, you're sounding like the hoennbabs who honestly thought a Gen 3 remake was going to happen in Gen 5, because "they remade Gen 1 and Gen 2 in the past two Gens111". Since then, we've had AMPLE evidence of when they make remakes - and they ALL come the first Gen after the series jumps to new hardware. >GBA - FRLG >DS - HGSS >3DS - ORAS >Switch - BDSP
The next remake isn't due until the new system, after Gen 10 starts. They HAVE however started filling in revisits to past their oldest games. After ORAS, they made LGPE befors BDSP just like they'd made FRLG after making RS but before starting Gen 4. So odds are they make a re-visit to Johto before making an Unova remake, because they didn't skip re-making a remake after remaking ORAS but before BDSP.
There's legit millions of kids out there don't know what the frick a Johto is, just like there was babies didn't know what a Kanto was before LGPE.

Do you think they'll ever do a new Legends? What makes you think they won't do a Johto one?

I don't think so because DP was THE myths and legends game, the rest have legends, but usually connected to the plot, nothing like Sinnoh where they were there as much for lore as for game hints. There's also the fact it's basically Game Freak's Sinnoh remake (as in, they paid for whos to port the OG for christmas, but still felt the need to remake DP in a fashion), so why does their *next* regional remake need to have the same title, even if it's the same style of gameplay? It already proves they're still going to remake the region, even if it's not remaking the paired release, so why get your knickers in a twist?
If they didn't skip remaking Kanto, they won't skip remaking Johto, mainly because the core audience ISN'T spergy manchildren who want Game Freak to sequence-break. And mainly because a burner title akin to LGPE, releasing one year before Gen 10 on SwitchUp will draw people to upgrade in preparation for it. Gen 10 is 2026, marketing a new game in the 30th will draw more sales across the board than trying to hype up DLC for Gen 10 would.

They already remade Johto with HGSS. they hadn't remade DP in any fashion, so made Legends: Arceus. It's not rocket science.

Pokémon Let’s GO with the most shilled region. For Pokemon GO compatibility. It’s not complicated
Cheren would be kino, I'd love a normal type E4 member.
Hugh would make a great new Aspertia gym leader, although it's hard to imagine what kinda team he'd use.
>The SM/USUM plot unveils the existence of the secret project that brought Type:Null to life. Gladion unlocks "Type: Full" by building a bond with it, and names its evolution Silvally. This name is formalized as the species' name
>Another Type:Null was created in Galar from leaked documents, according to its Sword dex entry
>At the end of the SwSh base plot, Sonia releases her book
>Sonia's book is in Naranja/Uva Academy
Gen 8 happened before Gen 9, that's clear. Theoretically it's possible that the intel leak and the creation of the Galarian Null precede the Gen 7 events, but it's not very likely. Specially since Gladion was literally the first person ever to unlock "Type: Full", he coined its official name, and this happened during the Gen 7 plot.
After Gen 5 all the games seem to just take place in whatever the current year is, they've definitely stopped going backwards every other gen and instead just let remakes take place at a different time from the main games - XY and ORAS make that much clear. It's why things like smart phones and other tech in the games have been advancing alongside the real world, so yeah, really not much reason to expect gen 7 to take place any time but 2017 and gen 9 2022.
The frick point are you even making, are you moronic? Gen 1 and gen 3 officially take place at the same time, and gen 2 and gen 4 both take place 2 years later, it's not something that's up for debate. After gen 5 they stopped doing this, which is why XY takes place after BW2 while ORAS takes place in 1996. The Nintendo consoles don't correlate to the timeline at all, they're just there to shill current gen Nintendo because Nintendo owns Pokémon; the fact they don't line up with the timeline in most of the games and aren't even consistent between remakes until BW is an anachronism and it's probably because there's no reason to advertise an old console that isn't on the market anymore over a current one they want you to buy. Think critically for once in your life.
Forgot to add at the end: "And the Galar dex already registers Silvally with such name, so it must have been after Gladion evolved his".

If the Unova League is anything like the BB League, then the Champion being dethroned demotes him back to the Elite Four. That's probably what happened and Grimsley chose to step down.
The timeline shifts anon. The only thing that's canon is Gen 1 and 3 and Gen 2 and 4 happen around the same time (GS happens before DP, as the report of Red Gyarados opens DP), not that they happened in 1996 (Red and Green/Blue show up in the battle tree in SM in 2016 as 20 years old, or there abouts. Red was 10/11 when he started his journey, which would have made him 30 years old by the time 2016 came along, if Gen 1 actually took place in 1996). Play the fricking games, ya spastic child.

who
Grimsley. Did you play SM?
grimsley
Either Nate or Rosa.
They're Champion. It's likely Iris replaced him as E4
who knows, we'll probably find out in a few months. i bet it was cheren though.
If by a few months you mean when Gen 10s remake comes out then sure
if you expect gamefreak to go two whole years without a major release you're nuts dude, the end of a console's lifespan hasn't stopped them before
They're doing a Johto revisit called Legends Arceus 2, you heard it here first

Newsflash numbnuts, the games Gen 5 and older reference the real-world year by placing a Nintendo system in the player's bedroom.
