I will. Starfield is a Bethesda game. It only really gets good when after the first few patches and when the community inevitably kickstarts the modding scene even before bethesda releases the creation kit.

Completely different types of games. Cyberpunk is about stories and characters. Starfield is about a sandbox. While they both have elements of the other, the focus is clear. And for any general fans of AAA gaming and RPG's it's not like we have a lot of choice.

So PL, SF, and BG3 will release really close to one another. Stupid from a marketing perspective, but it doesn't change anything for us real gamers. Gonna get all of them, and play all of them, and when I'm done, replay whichever was best.

        you talking about this shit?

Literal noting burger. More empty promises and a shitty walkaround. I won't believe anything about the police AI working now or firing guns from cars till I actually see it BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY PROMISED ALL THAT BEFORE THE RELEASE OF THE GAME TOO

I was a bit of a serendipitous moment for me when I played 2077 on launch, noticed a bit of hilarious bugs (Jackie having his gun glued to his hand during the taxi scene) I had a great time. It was only after I had finished a friend linked me the crowbcat video of it. And yeah, had I listened to every word in the advertisement I might have gotten completely different expectations. But I went in blind and is now all the happier for it. Frankly, they could've scrapped the combat and open world all together for what Im concerned if it meant I got more moments of talking a car out of jumping to it's death.

Well, I can tell you one thing, I'm definitely more likely to pick up the Cyberpunk definitive edition somewhere down the line on a deep sale than I am ever going to pick up Starfield.

I'm sorry, do you really believe they're gonna turn the current cardboard-cutout doll house world into something interactive? lmao

You literally see npcs and cars materialize in front of you when you turn your head in Cyberpunk. It's all a mirage. And in Bethesda games you can often talk to non-quest related NPCs. Cyberpunk, they're all dolls. Imagine actually making that comparison lmao.

        >Vehicle combat
        >Not only can you use guns inside vehicles, several pre-existing and new vehicles have mounted guns and missiles
        >Police system now actually works as expected
        >Perk system completely overhauled so most perks grant unique abilities, they're not just percentage boosters
        >New weapons
        >New cyberware, one of which allows an aerial glide
        >Lite form of cyberpsychosis added for the player that gives debuffs, you can no longer fill every slot scot-free
        >Melee finishers given to all melee weapons
        >New jobs with the intent of giving the player better avenues for money gain
        >Clothing no longer grants armor, only cyberware does

It's just a DLC and it get's released almost three weeks later. By that time most people will get bored of Starfield and will be looking for something else.
Also Starfield might just be unplayable on release.

There is a cyberpunk city in Starfield that shits all over 2077s city.
This is Todds settling of grievences tour. Every mouthy studio is getting put in their place.

Probably Phantom Liberty for me. Starfield seems to go the "endless quests and customization" that Im just not really into. Meanwhile Cyberpunk 2077 had a largely meaningless open world that led to it's downfall while all the story stuff and attention to detail is what ultimately made me excited for the DLC as both Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine had much thighter focus and was all the better for it.

Agreed. Cyberpunk should’ve doubled down on being a linear experience with some open areas. Hopefully they take that direction in the sequel

I'll play both. Cyberpunk can't do the open world make your own fun kind of thing I want from Starfield and Bethesda can't do the high production value storytelling that I liked about 2077. Which one first? I'll see how I feel in September.
