Guarantee the devs didn't think about it that hard, same way Anno just added Christian symbolism because it looked cool. Not saying both don't have themes and such that were intentionally part of the writing, but people definitely read way too hard into it as a whole.
Based on shit like Perfect Works, Takahashi is a schizo himself, so it makes sense that'd trickle down into his games.
Takahashi isn't the sole writer of the series anons. Xenoblade 1 alone has four other credited writers, and even Xenogears had another writer. Some of this shit is just made up along the way and they find some threads to make more clear connections. I know it's cool to think it's some ebin master plan made a decade in advance, but you can see signs of this just being something evolving in their heads as they continued.

He is in charge of the lore, the characters and the main plot line. The other authors work on fillers and side-quests. FR is the cornerstone of the trilogy, and Takahashi wrote the script for it alone.
