I think it's a good idea for Sony to go the Play Anywhere route. Sure you only have "console exclusivity" moving forward and all the games will still end up on PC, but as we've seen people dont have strong PCs and would rather buy a console than invest in a good PC anyway. Which console will they choose? PlayStation. So they don't lose, we don't lose, everyone is happy.
Sony isn't abandoning shit. Sony's board won't let Yoshida do something so fricking stupid as to bail out on the industry-leading system that generates billions in profits, especially with the 3rd place getting ready to tap out.

Nintendo or Sony?
They spent too much money trying to hoard up all the exclusives and even key companies like Activision/Blizzard and Bethesda. Doing that worked fine for a while, but it's showing to be a costly mistake as game sales are starting to tank thanks to wokeism.
>Nintendo winning the console wars with outdated technology >Games like palworld selling millions of copies with 0 innovation
Funny how the future turned out.
Both of them don’t have Palworld.
Palworld is unironically quite literally the shot in the arm that Xbox needs to pull itself back. No one cares about Halo or Gears or any of their other games because the teams working on them are shit, but here falls a smash hit onto their lap.
If they can buy Pocketpair it’s joever for snoys and tendies.

I doubt that considering yesterday the devs basically confirmed that Xbox only made up less than 15% of the players
But xbot-schizo told me they strategically lost on purpose. Next thing you’ll tell me StarFailed is an objectively bad game.

There can only be at max 300 million console gamers at any given one time split between Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. Meanwhile other parts of gaming is growing rapidly while console growth have stagnated for years. In the end whoever wins the console wars doesnt matter anymore, not when they wont make as much money as someone getting in on the other segments of the gaming market.
Clearly mobile by all means. Apple made 8 billion in a year just from cashing in that 30% cut they get from selling games on their phones which is more than Sony, Xbox and Nintendo makes combined. Everyone else is salivating at reaching the mobile market more than the console market because they arent opposed to microtransactions either.
There's no market for consoles now that its in the awkward middle of mobile gaming and desktop which perform far better. the whole point of consoles was a loss leader in cheap hardware to sell expensive proprietary software for people that had basically neither
Sony is abandoning Playstation and Nintendo has been stagnating thanks to Miyamoto's refusal to retire.
There are no winners.

Ironically, Miyamoto hasn't done anything stupid recently.
This. Miyamoto is in a soft retirement right now.
ONE GAME
Nintendo and it will be three generations behind in hardware. So I guess consumers lose. Like always

Palworld is better, chud. go leave

>make FO4 but worse
>doesn't have brand so it fails even harder
>bethesda as whole haven't put out anything remotely interesting since doom eternal
Skyrim was the last and the best game they ever released and I doubt it will be ever dethroned
My homiefell will mog
The funny thing about that pic is that they are both shitty games, also aren’t both of those companies owned by Microsoft.

Which segment will dominate the future in your opinion?

The PC
Does anyone have that picture of phil from like 6 years ago where he looks like he has breasts and his ripples are poking through his shirt.
Even their slightly above average games aren't selling.
Ok Eric. I'm sorry about today's news about Sony
pokemon is dead tendie, time to come to terms with your loss
