All in all, I'd give it to BG3 but the third act really fricks things up. All in all I would say RE4 Remake was my GoTY for me as far as delivering a completed, polished experience goes and that's pretty embarrassing to admit, considering the fact that it's a fricking remake of a 17-year old game.

People who see through the hype know Starfrield is just gonna be Fallout 4 with some paintjobs, but the overwhelming audience for the title doesnt care or dont follow interviews. Theyll see the commercial at Superbowl and buy it on the way home. Shoot and loot with some light rpg elements is going to outsell a faithful tabletop recreation, but I hope at least people will acknowledge BG3 massive list of features when their character fall through the floor of their spaceship in Starfield.

Starfield is looking to be an 8/10 for me. I can put up with the vanilla crew members until modders add the ability to have a crew of Haydees or something similar.

Guns, especially handguns, are really not great weapons at close range. If Swen is able to rush and get close quickly, then Todd's a fricking goner.
So it really depends on what the rules of the duel are going to be. If they're each walking 20 paces, then the spaceman will probably win unless he totally fumbles his aim. But fencing distance would be a different matter.
