Believe it or not, millions of people enjoy and talk about their favorite games every year without insisting that everyone else grovel before them and acknowledge how perfect they are. The entire strategy and management sim genres aren't even considered for GOTY because 90% of gamers will never play them but you don't see us being obnoxious twats about it.
Aside from Mindustry, those games are fundamentally flawed so it makes sense that they wouldn’t win GOTY.

Zelda is way more likely than Armored Core, although we don’t if TGA applies the Nintendo bonus since this is the first year there’s been a mainline Zelda or Mario title since TGA started.
