This. Leveled slow and wanted to do SM but fricking nobody was doing it and even if they were it was like 4 warriors with the armory weapon or 4 mages exclusively that people wanted for groups. Something about cleaving with some meme comp all the zoomers copied from their favorite streamers. Even if you hit max level there's nothing to do for months. The experience and community was complete trash.
Problem is, back then people were actually young and all this was still magical and about exploring the world and making friends. Now it's only about meme comps and top dps and getting all the bis gear as quickly as possible. That's also why no mmo will capture the old magic ever again.
How many of you were Alliance bros? I played Stalagg and couldn't level past 37 without getting camped 8 times an hour so I never played again. Quit a month in.
Yup, forgot which server but supposedly it was relatively balanced. Leave horde alone to their quests, they gank you when you're not looking. And even when I managed to gank some horde, 3 or 4 more usually come around and stomp me after.
It's the entire playerbase tbh, I see the autism on Alliance side too whenever some schmuck gets ganked and starts actually spamming general chat about it like it's the end of the world.
I dont play PvP servers because literally every PvP server I've been it was the containtment zone of the absolute most shitstained scum you can think of.
You get fricking trashed by groups then when you tell in general chat you either get ignored or "muh pVP sErVeR stop crying"
like isnt this what you should do when you get attacked?
Min-max culture and pretty much every site and guide driving home the point that Horde has the better racials. And its easy to fight every player you see if you know you have an advantage.
Same thing in retail, most players will hover above you for 10 seconds while you are attacking a mob to check your gear/health level before they dare attack you.
>The game is a joke.
Yes >MC is a joke.
Yes >Dungeons are a joke.
Yes >Why play a game that offers no challenge?
Fun with friends >If you want to chat with people go on omegle
moron
Tell that people who spent their free time on IRC. But that's besides the point. I'm not the guy you replied to, but if you take out the "fun with friends" argument you didn't say anything positive about classic.
lmao keep seething, but i guess success does indeed breed jealousy. maybe your grandady shouldn't have been such a pleb or he wouldn't have been killed in ww2
Well he didn't die in ww2, he was honored for killing japs in okinawa on the contrary
And this is also an american game. The success is all american, I don't know why you think your country is relevant to mention, when it's a measly 5,000 player population.
You just can't comprehend the behemoth world of warcraft once was, with 11+ MILLION AMERICAN accounts playing simultaneously

>when it's a measly 5,000 player population
per server you mongoloid lmao. can't even read his own language properly.
oh well, who am i kidding, your probably some disgusting mutt or even a Black person lmao
and how do you define "GAMERS"? Asia is FULL of dumbass casino tier clickbait games. They are completely irrelevant. League of legends is also meaningless.
Filipinos are irrelevant entirely.
You are just too autistic to realize nobody in the real world gives a frick about asia, africa, the middle east, or latin america. We don't give a frick because the people who invented computers to begin with are in the fricking west.
I wish the game was buy to play.
I know its not at all expensive to pay monthly but I don't understand why people are kinda ok with it when private servers were free.
It was also a lot less hassle to get EU players to play in the US with private servers.
Started playing with friends. Got a rogue to 60 with them. Tryhard guild was filled with rogues, and basically I stopped playing. Came back and have been leveling a warrior. But getting killed constantly, having to pug and not playing with that original group anymore. I think I need to hang up the WoW hat for good.
im still playing but very casually now
just logging in to level my pally alt and go through the same process of trying to get a fricking truestrike shoulders to drop at least once a day on my main
I do, I'm glad I don't have to do that shit pvp grind because I'm a rogue. One of the dudes in my guild who was doing the R13 grind got a blood clot in his leg and had to go to the fricking hospital because he was playing 16 hours a day to stay in the top bracket.
>Good job getting away from the troony cult psyop game anon
It sounds like a gross exaggeration but this really does sum up my experience with the game. Idk how SE manage to reel in such a boot licking audience but they did it.
Peoples who are level 60 and don't want to let go. I did a census before leaving and half of the population on my server was 60, the leveling experience is dead.
me, but not for much longer
i feel i got tricked because you said this game was great and had an amazing community but both are actually worse compared to any other mmo ive played in the past 15 years
I'm quitting after I get full tier 2. I don't care about raid BiS even though I pretty much have it as of current date. Vanilla is just TBC prep so I can't be fricked to stick around for the raid tiers that require me to spend 6 hours of gold farming to sustain 1 of 3-4 raid nights per week.
I'd never do this, I'm perfectly content with raid logging. at least TBC will have good PvP (arenas) and way more diverse raid comps for PvE. also 25m > 40m.
how anyone can justify being elitist in this game is beyond me
chances are youre not actually good, because if you were you wouldnt be zerging uncoordinated randoms in av or speedrunning a 15 year old pve encounter
Something about MMORPGS feels "off" when 95% of the player base is min-maxed. Back in the day it was only 5% of the player base that min-maxed.
MMORPGS just dont function properly when everyone is gunning for shit.
MMORPGS were originally designed under the impression that 95% of players would be literal bots, with 5% of the top players dominating everything. It just feels "off" when 95% of players are dominating.
I quit after leveling a shadowpriest to max on Nost and finding out how shit the content at max level is. Lots of grind, boring ass raids, in BGs you run OOM after 1 minute at most and have to spend frickton of time to get your mana back.
And magejews don't sell water for free. And even if you get it for free you have to get it every time you log in which is a nuissance.
And just buffing your team costs money and time (that you need to spend to get mana back).
Like holy frick everything takes sooooo long.
I dont because the balance is fricking dogshit and I wanted to play hybrid dps classes but muh nOchAngEs
Also I've been playing classic and TBC p servers since 2011 and got nearly everything I wanted out of the game
I only supported and made noise for it because I hoped they would release a far superior TBC server
And I can only agree with the talk about this moronic and weird as frick minmaxing culture. Every guild wants to be the hottest shit with the best setup, best players, fastest times.
Even though T1-2 are fricking piss easy, guilds want me to write fricking application with a resume how long I've been playing games or whatever the frick. What?
When I started everything was way more casual and relaxed, you had way more time to enjoy the game
>I only supported and made noise for it because I hoped they would release a far superior TBC server
Classic apparently made a bajillion dollars for Blizz so it would be turning down free money for them not to release TBC.
I played to 60, got a majority of my BIS and joined a guild during the process. The guild cleared MC easily and with no problem. The issue? The GM had a bunch of IRL friends and they got a majority of the gear even with the DKP system. After the third time I cleared it with them seeing gear go to them while others had the DKP I just stopped playing. Tried AV in hopes it was going to be like the old AVs and it was just a run to the end.
boomers
>boomers play WoW
No, they play EQ, DAoC, and Ultima Online emus.
I quit at 40
Same, I just realized where things were headed and I'm glad I only played those 2 weeks.
I wish i did the same, i all the way to 60 just to do 1 MC and 2 Onys

Level 40 or 40 years old?
Yup, it was fun til 41 then the novelty of new abilities wore off rather quickly. Doesn't help getting corpse camped for 50-60% of the time.
And even when I managed to gank some horde, 3 or 4 more usually come around and stomp me after.

yes, even bad games.
bad games or not omegle though

>friends
Several dozen thousand people. My server alone (German PVP) has over 5k active accounts daily
Nobody in the relevant real world gives a frick about 5k nazi homosexuals leveling gnomes in elwynn forest
holy shit you are seething hahahaha
No, I'm just realistic. 99% of the civilized world on the internet playing video games is NA.
We don't give a shit about EU servers. This is an american hosted website, moron.
lmao keep seething, but i guess success does indeed breed jealousy. maybe your grandady shouldn't have been such a pleb or he wouldn't have been killed in ww2

Cope harder backpeddaling mutt
discord troony pvp ranking autists are the only ones who are on 24/7
everyone else at 60 is in an autistic raiding guild just raidloging and jerking off over epic parses where they spam 1 button and pray for good rng
I wish the game was buy to play.
I know its not at all expensive to pay monthly but I don't understand why people are kinda ok with it when private servers were free.

Raidlogging at the moment but getting kinda excited at BWL coming in two weeks. Never managed to kill Vael with my scrub guild before TBC hit
im still playing but very casually now
just logging in to level my pally alt and go through the same process of trying to get a fricking truestrike shoulders to drop at least once a day on my main
looking for a raiding guild btw
every server is on low, the game is dead
but that's wrong
in case anyone wants to play on the most balanced H:A EST PVP server, come to Incendius
I do, I'm glad I don't have to do that shit pvp grind because I'm a rogue. One of the dudes in my guild who was doing the R13 grind got a blood clot in his leg and had to go to the fricking hospital because he was playing 16 hours a day to stay in the top bracket.
I do. I unsubbed from FFXIV so I can play classic full time, feels good man.
Good job getting away from the troony cult psyop game anon

shouldn't have been so fricking slow then
It was an alt to do things between raidlogging. I had enough of fricking molten core.
I will be quitting soon, not fun anymore
me, but not for much longer
i feel i got tricked because you said this game was great and had an amazing community but both are actually worse compared to any other mmo ive played in the past 15 years
all I do is raid log.

>no av offhand
Yeah you're a lazy noob, you probably should just quit
I told you I only raid log.
can't be fricked to waste time in AV with 90% of the alliance being sub 70 iq
>Vanilla is just TBC prep
You wot mate?
I literally came back to WoW on a fresh account for TBC from 0 and still ended up in a top 20 world autistic raiding guild back in 2007.
What "prep" are you on about? is there some kind of autistic private server meta for prepping from vanilla to tbc or something?
>What "prep" are you on about?
being 60 with decent gear, maxed profs, and alts with profs. enough to level jc instantly. that's it really.
When TBC launches you frickers will the first to post these "ded gaem nuttin 2 do" threads
I'd never do this, I'm perfectly content with raid logging. at least TBC will have good PvP (arenas) and way more diverse raid comps for PvE. also 25m > 40m.
>tfw raidlog and still make 70G a week just transmuting undeath to water
I fricking WISH I could play it
I would be if they didn't frick up AV.
I was enjoying it, but I quit the day AAU dropped at level 59. Glad I did too, I'm having way more fun.
I played until level 40s when I reached Tanaris and got bored
Also there's no fricking community
I queue AV and tab out for ranks
the PvP is fun albeit fricking unbalanced, being ele and 1shotting nerds is what keeps me playing
how anyone can justify being elitist in this game is beyond me
chances are youre not actually good, because if you were you wouldnt be zerging uncoordinated randoms in av or speedrunning a 15 year old pve encounter
Private server meta killed it for me.

people just don't want to have fun. Always have to be grinding gold or getting honour. It's all these little things, need to smell the roses
I got 2 60s, one hpriest one tank warrior
addicts and lonely NEETs
You thought you didn't, but you think you want TBC, but you really want WotLK Ulduar patch.
>the homosexuals who were spamming g o T o RE T a IL have most likely themselves gone back to retail
I quit after leveling a shadowpriest to max on Nost and finding out how shit the content at max level is. Lots of grind, boring ass raids, in BGs you run OOM after 1 minute at most and have to spend frickton of time to get your mana back.

I'm in game right now but my sub right out feb 2nd. I'm debating whether or not to go 1 more month.
I have 4 60s
I stopped when asmongold stopped because I have no one to farm gold and mats for :^)

Blizzard didn't ruin WoW. The players did.
>using dkp in classic wow
thats mega kek
frick guilds, just do pugs
shit in 2019
shit in 2004
