Oh I am not a cooler. I just find theatrical smug c**ts to be cool villains. I also enjoy how he got bamboozled and his character ark is about having a meltdown over it. I also extra enjoy when the bad guys turn good guys, even if Kuja turning good was a literal last second thing.l and you never get to see his supposed love and devotion for the Terrans all the Zidane clones talk about.
I also enjoy his design because I do enjoy classic Amano designs, like the Emperor or such. Most FF villains are forgettable or simply have no personality. He is there from the start of the game and constantly on scenes like Kefka, so he feels like a character and less like a plot device a la Exdeath
Kefka. He actually succeeded in destroying the world and his character arc was well told especially in light of how most Final Fantasy villains were presented back then.
"Villain" is a stretch considering he's trying as hard as anyone to end the cycle of Sin but he definitely stands out when placed beside "half-human with omnicidal ambitions because his mom died or something" and "ancient leader whose mind broke when he sacrificed everyone to summon too much shit at once". I love his background development and all of his scenes.
kuja
You realize Kuja is male right?
My penis says Kuja.
