Whose shitty idea was it to make this shit a legendary? Its like a worse volcarona evolves too late for anything and needs an item, you'd never be able to use this in game even if you run to the isle of armor as soon as you unlocked it

Good for omgon and that's all what matters.
Ogerpon is better dlc legendary bait
Ogerpon can actually be used, where in game do you need a level 70 outside of raids that are piss easy in SS and its not good enough for terra raids because its easily outclassed by iron hands / ursaluna / annihilape
Yeah, Ogerpon is done well. You only need to do 19 battles, 20 if you want to open auctions for your preferred ball, to get to her boss fight and catch her.
Main game includes:
>Nemona, Wild Lechonk, Wild Houndoom, Arvis, Nemona, Team Star Grunt, Team Star Grunt, Water Gym Trainer - only required to open auctions
DLC:
>Carmine, Kieren, Kieren, Carmine, Kieren, Wild Milotic, Kieren, Loyal Three x4, Kieren
This still takes a ridiculous amount of time due to the insane amount of text mashing required to get that far.
Even if you transfer in a living dex for the Exp Candy reward, immediately catch a Flamigo, candy it to lv 49, and pick up the Acrobatics TM at the start of Kitakami, there's still three and a half hours of dialogue you have to mash through even if you one-shot every single enemy and prevent cutscenes/switch prompts. The pacing of this game is actual torture on repeat playthroughs.
t. got 4 different ogerpons in different balls for ranked
They really needed to allow us to skip cutscenes.
Did they ever explain in game or give any lore why it is a legendary?
No and it's not even unique, Mustard has at least one other. They made it so you have to use the mints / bottle caps if you want a decent one
>it's not even unique
There are no unique pokemon except for Spiky-Eared Pichu and Bloodmoon Ursaluna.
By lore Ogerpon is unique along with her masks.
There are more Ogerpon, we just haven't seen them yet.
The masks are unique, though.
>There are more Ogerpon, we just haven't seen them yet.
Nowhere in the DLC does it hint at this.
Assume all pokemon are members of a species unless told otherwise. Every time we've assumed a pokemon was unique - Mewtwo, the Creation Trio, even Arceus - we've been proven wrong.
>Assume all pokemon are members of a species
The burden of proof is on you to prove this when you made the claim that they aren't unique. We don't go by assumptions, we go by what is shown.
>Mewtwo, the Creation Trio, even Arceus - we've been proven wrong.
All of them are unique within a universe.
The trio's exception is something that comes up during the game, it isn't a prior setting.
> we go by what is shown.
That's not how this fanbase works.
>That's not how this fanbase works.
That's how all arguments work. You making shit up isn't an argument or a production of proof. You made a statement and can't prove the contrary to a listed Legendary mon presented. Show dialogue by either word of god, the games, or any other official media or admit you're full of shit.
Please learn to read. You're no different to the rest.
>Please learn to read.
Perhaps learn to write your point better. "That's not how this fanbase works" can be construed in two ways. Either saying that this isn't how things are done or you're taking a jab at the fanbase saying they can't produce logical arguments. Don't present ambiguous wording and expect people to assume your intent on the matter.
The intent is very clear and the fact that I'm responding to the same dude as you should clue you in that I'm not him.
Honestly, I'll admit the later. I only read the particular response you gave me there. But the intent isn't clear when I've seen people on this site argue the other way with similar wording like that.
"Legendary" isn't a lore based classification.
The explanation is that it was classified as a legendary.
>Whose shitty idea was it to make this shit a legendary?
TPC and GF.
> you'd never be able to use this in game even if you run to the isle of armor as soon as you unlocked it
That's the point, that it grows with you and eventually picks a style to develop. You can access the towers before beating the game.
> Let's call a Pokemon "Legendary" justify locking it behind a DLC paywall!
> Let's make its ability invalidate AN ENTIRE STRATEGY GENRE!!!
Post-Gen-7 Legendaries were a mistake.
