Because they all focus on the same boring design instead of trying something new or going back to the original good designs of team and objective based games (I am biased).
Hell, Dirty Bomb took some of its influence from Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory for maps, weapons and gunplay. They still crashed and burned unfortunately.
I don't know, team based objective driven battlefields don't seem to garner as much attention as before. Either its a flag, or a payload, or generally one or two objectives to fight around with few paths in between. MOBAs, Battlefield and Counter-Strike killed anything more complex than that.

I don't remember training my dog for fights against other dogs. What kind of twisted analogy is that? i don't think you've ever owned a pet to make the analysis that they are slaves. One of my previous dogs (that passed away) ran out of the gate of our house once when we weren't looking and we couldn't find it for hours, it came straight back after quite a few hours had passed and ran inside. Kind of the opposite of slavery when it could have made the decision to leave us forever.

I try now but I just end up going to casual shooters like titanfall or not at all
the gunplay on mw2 felt nice, but although I haven't played a cod since black ops 1. I quickly learned the issues with it.
Titanfall works. Play Titanfall and stop crying. "Competitive shooters" have always been trash. They are just played for their popularity and not real skill.

Every automatic weapon is accurate without ADS in that game. Which honestly is better than having to rely on sights blocking your view like in every other game.

Skill based matchmaking is awful. All balancing emphasis placed on professional streamers and not the game people are actually playing, so things that impact the top 500 get huge focus, things impacting the bottom 500,000 get nothing.
I also just think they're culturally incompatible with homosexuals. Someone has to lose for someone else to win, and most homosexuals today can't stand the idea. Even just saying "haha u lost" will get you a ban in games like Overwatch. TF2 only escapes it because it's abandoned.
