>xbox has mechanically flawed face buttons that don't register inputs
>dualsense gets stick drift in like 6 months if you use l3/r3
>switch pro is only good for switch
you buy a console/controller knowing you'll eventually have to replace your soon to be defective controller. why is this allowed?
buy Gulikit or fuck off
>third party poorfag
You're the poorfag, poorfag
>using 1st party shit controllers
>Gulikit
I was about to get one until I heard all about the latency issues. Is that real or fake news?
I dunno. I guessed it had latency issues because it's a wireless controller.
Does it? Not enough for me to notice. Beat Elden Ring with it. Played some Celeste. Currently beating TOTK with it. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.
other than these buttery smooth hall sensors.
Hall Sensors
sorry, I have to make the tendies jealous of my functional thumbstick.
>playing non competitive single player games
>doesn't notice input lag
Of course you don't.
What kind of competitive game on PC uses a gamepad lol
>bro doesn't play competitive Celeste
I can get to chud before you can, zoomie
>sorry, I have to make the tendies jealous of my functional thumbstick.
almost all hall-effect sensors are marketed towards tendies, whether on controllers marketed for switch or for all-purpose controllers heavily themed after nintendo (8bitdo)
fox_grapes_etc_deadmeme.jpg
I'm not even looking it up.
Go on, someone mention Hitler and get it over with since we're all being so original.
what is there to "fox and the grapes" with when you're talking about "making tendies jealous" and you're using controllers that are marketed to tendies in the first place
go outside, rajesh
your dumb NPC braincell attempting to read, much less comprehend the concept that your distaste for hall sensors is based on
>jealousy
(you heard me)
a halfassed chink nintendo controller that has the buttons in the wrong place for any pc game. i’ll pass.
>a halfassed chink nintendo controller that has the buttons in the wrong place for any pc game. i’ll pass.
That's the hill you're dying on?
More of a mound, really.
yup.
it has so many flaws. if you want gyro you lose analog triggers. if you want analog triggers you lose gyro. buttons in wrong place. shitty hall effect sensors of the lowest chink quality. no charging dock. gay name. i could go on
>if you want gyro you lose analog triggers. if you want analog triggers you lose gyro.
This is a problem with the Xinput standard, not the controller.
>shitty hall effect sensors of the lowest chink quality.
Moron.
>problem with the xinput standard
not my problem and my playstation 5 controller handles it well so it sounds like a gulikit problem
Your PS5 controller handles it because you're using Steam as an input-wrapper, and it still has to translate those calls to Xinput in one way or another.
so it’s a gulikit problem. thanks for acknowledging it.
No, dummy. What does Steam report your Gulikit controller as when you go into controller settings?
not sure because i’m not retarded enough to buy a chink controller that can’t even triforce
>it sucks it's the worst controller ever
>i dunno i didn't buy one and i never will
good morning sir
gm sir
>No, dummy. What does Steam report your Gulikit controller as when you go into controller settings?
valve is not up to date on who the new boss in the kitchen is.
These things usually show up as Xbox controllers or Switch Pro controllers depending on whether you're using native Xinput (and thus analog triggers) or not. They're not first-party, they're purpose built to an existing console. They *can't* show up as their own thing without a specific mode for it.
>shitty hall effect sensors of the lowest chink quality
...it's literally their patent, asshat.
they should make a better one. it’s shit. gaymers fall for anything i swear
>a halfassed chink nintendo controller that has the buttons in the wrong place for any pc game. i’ll pass.
bro you can swap the button placements
FUCK this thing. Jank, loose thing.
It's the cable, not the port. I bought a third party wire for it and I never had an issue since.
ENTER
laugh all you want, they beat nintendo
Hey I had one of those, I thought it was pretty good as a budget Wiimote.
Looks like nurse call for a hospital bed
drift is worse on switch controls ive had to get 3 and i only got a switch in 2020
>xbox has mechanically flawed face buttons that don't register inputs
Never had this issue, it's the bumpers that are prone to dying.
Yeah Xbox has always been great until the Elite 2 which has known issues.
Don't know how this became a meme. I played fps on the same controllers for years without issues other than mild stick drift (following abuse).
Yeah, I just had my bumpers button press plastic bit break too. Too much Lb I guess.
Good thing its just like 2$ for a replacement on aliexpress.
The DS4 is perfect, I haven't had any issues with it for 6 years.
>first party controllers so shit
My dualshock 3 still works like new after 15 years
My dualsense has been just fine and dandy for 2 and a half years. My xbone x controller on the other hand has some insane stick drift.
Although I will say the haptic feedback on my dualsense stopped being functional after less than a year, all of the shit they put inside of them is just garbage. Thankfully it's worthless, pointless rumble motors.
same other than battery life the ds5 is solid. meanwhile my xbox controller double inputs A all the time and when i bought the xbox elite controller the a buttons had to be pressed extremely hard to register so i returned it and never got another one.
i wish there was an extended battery mod for the ds5
>dualsense gets stick drift in like 6 months if you use l3/r3
They all get stick drift. All gamepad sticks have been identical hardware-wise since the PS2 era.
>tfw no good controller with digital triggers
Sn30Pro is too small and doesn't have grips
Closest you'll get is a Switch pro controller.
I don't have a switch tho.
Does it work on PC?
Works fine on PC, Steam also detects it and you can map to any game.
The 8bitdo pro 2 has a switch mode in which it will use digital triggers works on Linux at least
>switch mode in which it will use digital triggers
But does it feel clicky?
I mean I can use ds4windows to make ds4 triggers become "digital" but the buttons feels are different than real digital triggers.
Normal analog feeling
Bummer
>>xbox has mechanically flawed face buttons that don't register inputs
wait thats a real thing? I thought was going crazy. also the triggers start to stick after a while. fucking annoying.
yes, the contacts under the face buttons have dead areas
because garden gnomes maximize profits at the expense of quality.
I've literally never had problems with any of these 3 controllers
Do you people beat your hardware like retarded gorillas?
Actually, don't answer.
I already know.
my xbox one controller still works perfectly and i use it to emulate and play controller type single player games.
The rubber on the alalog cap is clearly worn down and smoothed out, but other than that it looks and works at it was brand new.
Just don't be a fat moron with greasy hands and don't bang your shit.
I opened it to clean it today and i noticed the bumper mechanism is different from the one in the newer series controllers, so i guess ill be forever safe from that shit breaking.
>use a Gulikit controller
>chuds seethe every time I mention it online
>smoothest analog stick on earth
>never a missed input, ever
>feels like shaved unicorn pussy, textured, high quality plastic
I can't believe how willing to eat shit some people are.
Like, they just willingly pick shit up and start eating it.
>my xbox one controller still works perfectly and i use it to emulate and play controller type single player games.
Yeah my hand works pretty good too, I still get laid.
Modern potentiometers sucks and made with cheap plastic. Even the PS Pro controller has replaceable thumb sticks because of how garbage they are and refuse to use Hall Effect sticks. Face it, you are actively being scammed at this point if you aren't using Hall Effect sticks with modern controllers Old controllers have a better build quality and even old PS3 controllers use hall effect sticks..
The only first party controllers to use hall effect were the Dreamcast ones, I don't know what you're smoking
The first batch of PS3 controllers had Hall effects. Still doesn't change the parts in newer controllers are inferior to those made 5-7 years ago.
You fucking retard, if these are your complaints, you don't really have a clue what these controllers actually lack.
please enlighten us, retard. what could be a bigger issue than faulty controls on a controller?
Because you support Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony.
I just want a xbox controller with back buttons/paddles, a gyroscope, modular buttons/sticks, and meme effect.
That's probably the only way Xinput will ever actually improve is if Microsoft updates their fucking controllers to support "meme features" they won't be caught dead with unlike the other consoles. Too busy patent-trolling Valve over back paddles to implement them in their own controllers though, and they can't sell you those as an "elite" feature on their overpriced top-shelf controllers if they do that.
It started with all that SCUF shit and MS not shutting it down day 1 when people were macroing retarded button combos and destroying any semblance of all that "MLG" shit they were also putting millions into for halo and cod.
No reason to learn to play halo when you can macro a jumpshot to a paddle, or quickscoping on cod.
t. MadKatz
Havent had a problem with my ps5 yet but its a wait and see for me.
I got nothing against the xbox controller and it has been working for ages, the only thing bad about it is that its for the xbox or pc.
The switch is the real problem, 3 joy cons set with drift that i had to “fix” and one pro with drift that I can’t fix later and i do wish nintendo got an actual lawsuit going against them.
First time i ever had to buy a 3rd party controller that is more reliable than the original thing.
issue is they lost the lawsuits that did start and the precedent is now completely and totally fucking obliterated and they'll never be forced to pay out for it. Nintendo learned from the N64 lawsuits that they DID lose, and will likely never lose one again.
That's been my #1 reason in not buying a switch honestly. I had the money set aside and finger was on the trigger when a few months after launch ALL those reports of drifting started coming in, not just minor, but insane drift on the left joycon and I noped right the fuck out. Maybe one day, but not any day soon.
It’s baffling, the joy cons feels like shit to use already anyway but both of them drift no matter what you do.
You think you are safe with the pro but no you get drift there too.
Honestly the whole console is a poor hardware way past its expiration date that has some really good games held hostage.
>series x controller
practically perfect aside from the face buttons
>elite 2
practically perfect aside from the face buttons
>dualsense
no.
>switch pro
shitty dpad, shitty triggers and bumpers
Steam controller has no issues.
it has no fucking sticks, and fucking trackpads.
Am I in 1993?
90% of stick parts for controllers are made in the same factory in china. You don't even have a choice in the matter.
