Because they just refuse to do cool shinies like switch legendaries colours. I was robbed of my red Kyogre and blue Groudon. >inb4 muh its lazy
FUICK YOU FRICK YOU FRICK YOU
"lmao what if we just inverted the colors/switched its palette with its counterpart" is so fricking boring and the reason why a lot of these new hand-picked shiny palettes suck. So many regional variants' shinies are ruined because GameFreak just gave them the colors of the original form instead of coming up with something new. Shiny Typhlosion becomes a cool reddish-orange, and shiny Hisuian Typhlosion could have become something even cooler to pair nicely with its purple flames, but instead just becomes the same color as regular Johtonian Typhlosion. Why? It feels like a fighting game alt rather than a rare and unique color palette befitting such a rare encounter.
Reshiram and Zekrom especially have such classy and nice shiny palettes when they illuminate, and it saddens me to think anyone would rather just have them blandly inverted.
The swapped palettes on regionals looks nice in some, cases but Typhlosion definitely got shafted.
Goodra is definitely the worse though, you go from yellow Goomy to a Hisuian Sligoo/Goodra with nothing changed but a different colour shell.
It looks like arse and ignores the lore of both and the reason Game Freak even named the rehash as a sequel.
They are separate, individual beings, with wildly different motivations and desires but autistic children think they know better so swap colours to soothe their autism.
This. Holy shit, I hate when pokemon fans parrot that braindead take. Tell me how the Vast White pokemon suddenly suppose to be black? The original shinies are true to the pokemon while also being distinct enough to be interesting. Like, Reshiram becoming more angelic with the golden halo is cool.
no gonna bother reading your post because you began with simply rewriting the post you're replying to but in an overly simplified and mocking tone, which is the true sign of a moron with nothing of substance to say.
OP is not wrong that most shinys are ass, like the ones that make it a shade darker or all the lime green ones, like why even have shinys in the game if most of them suck?
In the 2D era, most shinies sucked because they were determined by an automatic palette shift by a notch. In the 3D era, once they had to start handpicking them with textures, they started sucking in THAT regard because they didn't want the shiny to be "too cool" and devalue the regular Pokemon (unless your name is Charizard, then you get a free pass on having a "cool shiny" to a point where one of your Mega Evolutions apes on that shiny coloration).
>furfrou >mega gengar >trevanent >aegislash >noibat >fire and water starters >vivillon pre-evolutions >hawlucha
These are off the top of my head. You sure they were avoiding making them cool or did you pull that out of your ass?

Has a genuine reason for its shiny, and that's to give it a color scheme befitting of a rudo luchador since its regular color scheme is befitting of a técnico luchador.

So do you like this?
Better than their actual shinies
Would go for a darker blue on Palkia to represent Space.
Shiny Dialga is cool. Shiny Palkia would probably look good if it's face wasn't white.
i love that dialga
Dialga's natural colors proven to be the best when they improve Palkia.
Dialga looks like freezer lol
frick off spic
So CHARIZARD’s can look cooler

you are gay and wrong

you are straight and right
Fighting game alts are cool.
It’s a shame that gen 5 is the only time these shinies ever looked good, in any 3D game they’re pretty trash
You gotta admit that
looks pretty cool though

who cares, its a shiny, they're non-canon easter eggs so it doesn’t matter what colors they are
>its a shiny, they're non-canon easter eggs

hahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>Red Gyarados is non-canon
oh my god you should be ashamed of being such an obnoxious little autist

They are literally two sides of the same coin/dragon. The whole point of the games is that every reshiram needs to have a little zekrom in it.

It's not the only thing they parrot as well.

>shinies are lame

>make them black or white color swaps
I really dislike underage edgelord without any nuance.
Same vibe as "fixing" a weak Pokemon with some shit gimmick that does nothing.
yeah, I dislike you too.
I'd rather take the shitty pink and green shinies over the ones that are barely any different
I can't see how they're justifiable
