Even if the English VAs aren't great all the time, at least they are not trying to convincingly play someone of the opposite sex while simultaneously doing a fake accent. It's obviously much less jarring.

FFXIV post ARR's dub is pretty damn good, but every good dub has mid and shit performances, and FFXIV has had those interspersed with the good ones for years.
