It never reported legitimate sales because they're abysmally low. Only West Taiwan reported fake numbers and hasn't since. Given their refusal, it likely did not make nearly enough to cover the massive account bot and shill campaign.
Now stop spamming the catalog belgian schizo or things will get worse for you
wrong, bg3 sold well over 100mil
25mil is only fraction of real purchases because people disagree with game tracking their data
meanwhile starshit sold less than 1mil
anon, they're the known BG3/Larian schizo. Ganker has a shit ton of them devoted to specific companies/games at this point.
this is consistent in these threads. most people have just started ignoring them.
Gale isn't bland, he's a bro. Paladins are the high-test choice, if you don't want to smite the shit out of degenerates you're a gay. Elves are homos, no defense there.
No one plays Cleric because Shadowheart is always in your party, no one plays small races because the animations are bad when interacting with normal size people. Paladin is fun to play and simple so of course it's popular and Sorcerer is better wizard finally thanks to the changes to some of the meta magics
Paladin is cool crusading knight instead of priest who spends all his time wondering what his god wants. But more importantly, charisma is a good stat for your guy to have, and cleric doesn't get anything class related out of it. Paladin does. Same reason why sorcerer is second.
They were in earlier editions but they've been steadily distancing them from each other. They're only similar in that they both get access to divine spellcasting. But paladins don't even need to serve a god anymore. They CAN, but it's not required.
Gameplay wise Paladin is an extreme close range tank class that smites the absolute frick out of everything, where Cleric is a caster with enough melee proficiency that they don't get instantly flattened like useless fricking wizards.
They aren't very similar really, but the answer is you will get the other 6 "origin" characters in your party extremely early in the game if you make a custom character.
The origin characters are a Wizard, Rogue, Cleric, Warlock, Fighter, and Barbarian.
You can always have 3 other party members with you, so if you're creating your own character, why would you pick a Cleric if you're going to recruit a Cleric at the start of the game automatically? Meanwhile no one is a Paladin in the starting bunch, and Paladin's a heavily armored, hard-hitting class that also has high charisma, perfect for a main character that's going to be talking to everyone. That second part's why Sorceror's 2nd, no one in your party is one of those and it's high charisma.
Because paladin is associated with a Chad with chiseled jaw and massive cool weapons, while cleric is associated with balding eunuch who hits people with a lil guy club.
Honestly Elf Paladin isn't the most bland choice you could make. Human Fighter is. The only surprising thing is how unpopular cleric is. I would've figured druid would be the lowest.
>Human? Boring! I'll go with Elf!
A lots of people do that.
Also, I appreciate how fricking Ranger is unpopular. Fricking Ranger, who ever thought it is a good class in any capacity??
I think Ranger's a fantastic class, especially in BG3. You can do anything you want with it practically.
It gets a lot of skills, it's a half caster with amazing ritual spells it can infinitely cast, also means easy to combine with other classes and make use of it. It gets extra attack. It gets all weapon, shield, and armor proficiencies. It gets a free Find Familiar spell. It gets fighting styles, so you can go for range, heavy weapons with Str, dual wielding weapons with dex.
Beastmaster Ranger is stupid strong even if you only summon the Raven, since it's the only one friendly NPCs won't freak the frick out over. And having 2 ravens flying around you, able to soak a hit every fight before you resummon them, with the beastmaster one doing good damage and giving you advantage to boot.
>If you pick origin character you lose them as a party member and their VA >No straight male characters on the list, only OC character is straight >Can't customize appearance of origin characters >No monk/paladin/bard class among Origin characters
Jee, it's a fricking mystery for sure. OP is, as always, a massive homosexual.
Well you need a CHA class to be the face and people think bard doesn't do dmg despite shitting it out. elf and half elf are the most op races and human is up there because its human. No idea why people would play gale though and I have no idea how lae'zel is that low when she's linked to the main story so intimately.
If you're picking to play as an Origin character, you're basically turning them into your own Tav just that you're hijacking their design and backstory. In that case, most people are gonna pick Gale because his backstory's the most grand of all of them, being a former chosen of Mystra, former lover of the goddess of magic, practically raised by her and Elminster, magical prodigy, going through a redemption arc for trying to be too badass. Plus you're a guy, and most people want to be a guy and romance the women, or at least aren't interested in romancing Gale so taking him out of the pool hurts nothing.
And Lae'zel is ugly, plus at first racist and rude to people. She makes a bad first impression if your feelings are hurt or you're autistic and can't understand she comes from a different culture and will develop over time.
Shadowheart being a Cleric and the first in-your-face companion you can't miss makes it feel like having TWO clerics is a waste, probably.
nevermind clerics can become OP mufuggas. most people probably didn't even think to respec Shart out of the crummy starter domain choice.
No one likes respeccing people out of their "canon" classes. It feels weird, like why would Wyll be anything but a Warlock when he literally has a pact to a fiend as part of his story, likewise Shart worshipping Shar.
I tried playing short race and man it feels like the game isn't made for it, constant camera issues, moronic walk and you being the only manlet in the camp, literally none of them are short, i'd take a very stereotypical dwarf tb h
>People
It's all Chinese account bots
BG3 has over 100mil players
Starshit doesnt have even 10mil, probably as low as 1mil sales total
Its beyond over

gale is most picked because ppl speedrun with him
if it tracks every time you start a new game as someone picking that character
>NOOO YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO WAIFU LE HECKING FROG AND PLAY A RANGER HALFLING
No
>white
>male
>paladin
>oath of vengeance
>romancing shadowheart
Yeah, its gaming time.

No one wants to play as a lunchtime rowdy or a deformed uggo, simple as
What on earth is a "lunchtime rowdy"...?
>all those short races at the bottom
I don't feel so good manletbros
just like reality
>Why are people so bland with their choices?
>Ganker: Human. Male. White. Fighter.
>Ganker: It's gaming time.
white guy always wins baby
Aren't Paladin and Cleric kind of similar? Yet Paladin are the most popular class and Cleric are the least popular.

I made a Dragonborn Bard, not sure what to multi-class as yet.

Surprised Monk is still slow despite how absurdly broken it is.
The majority are normal and average so you can be a special snowflake who makes all of the contrarian unique decisions to impress no one.
>Elf Paladin
Yeah, I'm thinking kino
