What was good about Atomic Heart? if this was a western game you'd shit all over it's design. Especially the open world section and how fricking tedious all that shit was, even more so if you're doing the full upgrade path because it just wastes excessive amounts of the players time. Most of you always complain about how modern game developers make game worlds large for the sake of large, and yet you all just seemingly ignored all of it's cancerous design aspects, because Russian dev i guess? i don't know why you're giving it a pass. It's equally as fricking boring as any ubishit game.
Which games are you talking about? Atomic Heart was trash. I'll only ever get Russians credit for Escape From Tarkov and Pathologic as being unique games. Pathologic being the good game that is (which is rare for slavjank) and Escape From Tarkov for pioneering a genre.
If that were true then we'd see an explosion of games from Russia. Their output is very minimal because their game dev scene is largely non-existent to a certain degree.
Russia used to make games in early 00s, however proper game development turned out to be unprofitable business and all people involved in it fricked off to mobile market or elsewhere.
Right now they seem to be picking this up again.
Cost of living is cheap in Russia because people earn very little money. They have less purchasing power relative to you or I in the west. If you think this is a sign of a "good economy" you are economically illiterate and I invite you to wonder what's so great about the economies of nations like Thailand or Ghana.
Atomic heart had only one good part and that was the Hedgie boss. If the rest of the game was up to par with that it would have been fantastic. But the story sucked. The overworld had enemies that respawn almost immediately and there's nothing to even find but crafting materials. The movement felt sluggish.
Despite its numerous flaws, Atomic Heart still managed to keep me engaged and entertained throughout. Something about how odd and charming it was separated it wholly from the blandness and lack of identity that most big budget releases today suffer from. Also, its the first game to give me similar vibes to You Are Empty, which makes it noteworthy in and of itself
This game sure as hell got forgotten quite fast. Look at how low it is in top sellers! And it hasn't even been a year! remember how smug all of AH's fans were about it taking over Hogwarts Legacy's popularity? kek

Missed the part where your monthly salary is like $200-300. And if you want to buy a new smartphone or a TV the prices don't scale.
Kinda unrelated but why does russia have high homicide rates?
The rest europe isn't like this
KÍNÓ
The only kino game to come out of that hellhole was Space Rangers 2 (and probably it's prequel too but I didn't play it)
>t.Yook
>super generic shooter
