Absolutetly nobody said it didn't deserve GOTY, I just reject the notion that this was the only good game that wasn't a sequel. As I've said twice already, it's not a sequel in name, but the style and game loop is very far from not being closely related to Dark Souls.

Even elden ring caters to terrible players and they nerfed the shit out of most enemies because of absolute shitters were complaining. >nerfed crystilians into the ground to the point they are a joke fight. they used to be hard enough to have meme status, now they are just sad. >nerfed enemy AI when firing projectiles so that they shoot where you are, so if you are moving they almost always miss, instead of accounting for your movement so you would have to dodge >nerfed godskins heal punish mechanic because double digit iq morons said it was unfair. used to be if you healed right in their face when they were doing nothing but wathcing you they would shoot a fireball to punish, thus forcing you to ear the heal if you wanted it. now you can literally heal in their face and side step the punish it is so slow. >buffed player speed across the board, was needed in some cases but they over did it in some areas. so not only are the bosses slower and easier but the player is faster than on launch
