Easy Anti Cheat is basically worthless for what it does. The developers intended to get FaceIt, which is the ring-0 kernel access "yes it really is literally spyware" so-called anticheat. Also, this anticheat is windows only, which means anyone with a Steam Deck is getting scammed out of their money through buying a game that will eventually cease function on that and other linux systems.

I think there's a middleground where microsoft implement some kind of windows api that allows for some fuzzy matching of known cheat libraries, i know the linux guys are working on something like that, it obviously won't be as powerful and it provides a central point for cheat devs to attack but they could take over the cat and mouse game... we probably just need to see one big botnet formed from compromising an anti cheat for it to get some attention

Battlebit uses Easy Anti Cheat right now, because Faceit requires secure boot and the devs didn't want obstacles in the way of people playing the game.

I'm sub 1 in all of them, 9% accuracy I think. Still top 5 score leader board every game. Throw a c4 at the next parked enemy truck or mongoose you see. 1800 exp per one destroyed and they are often everywhere left abandoned. EAC is the worst anti cheat out there since it does absolutely nothing and all the maps are absolute trash. I find battlefield games to be incredibly boring and this game did nothing to remedy that, but it was entertaining enough for a few hours before I refunded. Mic spam brought me some pleasant memories of source servers.

A lot of the fun is who you're playing with I find so Ganker servers on ace were pretty much always a good time for one reason or another, but when you just get shunted into a random server it can be really hit or miss on whether you get Greg and the lads larping an actual warzone or dead silence and running across the map for half an hour. I blame a lot of it on my fried attention span so my go to brain rot is ARPGs and other spastic bullshit.

Unlocking the squad so that if people leave it can climb back to 8 is so important. It's so absurd picking a squad when the majority are locked for no good reason than because squad leader forgot to unlock it every game.

Say opponent plays a bunch of giant titans like 40k, next round you can counter with a giant raygun 4 legged mech that does exponentional dmg the longer it shoots at a target, next round they build a bunch of drill bots to mess with the giant raygun mech’s targeting, so you build artillary that covers the ground in fire to burn the chaff death, so they add shields…

Also, this anticheat is windows only, which means anyone with a Steam Deck is getting scammed out of their money through buying a game that will eventually cease function on that and other linux systems.

I think there's a middleground where microsoft implement some kind of windows api that allows for some fuzzy matching of known cheat libraries, i know the linux guys are working on something like that, it obviously won't be as powerful and it provides a central point for cheat devs to attack but they could take over the cat and mouse game... we probably just need to see one big botnet formed from compromising an anti cheat for it to get some attention

You understand full well that every moron under the sun can go to unknowncheats or gamedeception or whatever the frick the website of choice is now and download public programs/source code to cheat in games like this. As the other moron pointed out these programs are only good at stopping the lowest effort morons from overrunning a game. You can see this easily in plenty of indie games or old ass mods of games where cheaters just ran amuck. Americas Army or Joint operations, etc.
In the end the best and only real solution is a combination of the devs designing the game properly, there being some kind of heuristically based detection that bans you eventually and having actual community servers.

98 hours played so far and I've probably gotten 15% of games at top score. Zero reports. I've inspected others at the top and seen dozens and dozens of reports I can scroll down. I don't use voip or text chat. I think this is the real crux. Don't make anyone angry by being annoying and nobody tries to spite false report you. Those reported players probably are the gays typing EZ after a game or flaming a new squadmate for learning the game.
You can't see your own reports for whatever reason. My bud got a couple cheating reports and for him he's clean.

A lot of the fun is who you're playing with I find so Ganker servers on ace were pretty much always a good time for one reason or another, but when you just get shunted into a random server it can be really hit or miss on whether you get Greg and the lads larping an actual warzone or dead silence and running across the map for half an hour. I blame a lot of it on my fried attention span so my go to brain rot is ARPGs and other spastic bullshit.

Unlocking the squad so that if people leave it can climb back to 8 is so important. It's so absurd picking a squad when the majority are locked for no good reason than because squad leader forgot to unlock it every game.

Are people complaining about attachments using too many weapons? I've got everything for the four support guns, the aug, vector, and mp5 unlocked. I've never shot any other gun, why would I have when these cover my bases? I've used one gun at a time until it was complete. mechabellum and beyond all reason have fricking starcraft 2 multiplayer casters covering it.
mechabellum is not an RTS, neither is aoe4.
BAR is pretty hard to play decently despite all its QoL changes. Mechabellum is low APM and lots of action, very cool little game.
AoW4 is definitely closer to Civ/4X games.

It is entirely an auto battler, yes. As the first person who recommended it I also think it's my goty.
Its not as goofy as most autobattlers. There isnt a rotating buy an item thing or a bunch of enemies. Its purely 1v1 so it plays like rock paper scissors but with robots and tanks. Say opponent plays a bunch of giant titans like 40k, next round you can counter with a giant raygun 4 legged mech that does exponentional dmg the longer it shoots at a target, next round they build a bunch of drill bots to mess with the giant raygun mech’s targeting, so you build artillary that covers the ground in fire to burn the chaff death, so they add shields…
Its extremely effective for what it is with minimal bullshit

Its ok for 15 dollars but there's really nothing to it ultimately, its shallow and way too grindy. All the tactical milsimmy features don't really mesh or add anything to the fast paced gameplay, meanwhile the one thing the game really has going for it, the voice chat, is being moderated away and you can already see the chilling effect with less and less people talking.
