It would be odd to play as Paul, because he knows what will happen in the future, and there's a single inevitable outcome to all of his efforts after a certain point. He's just going through the motions of actually doing it so he can remodel Baron Harkonnen and the Emperor's shitholes.
I just started Messiah, so I am absolutely not the right person to answer this, but since nobody is replying to you, here's what I know so far: >Paul lets the Jihad happen for self-interested reasons >walks around in disguise and pretends not to be the emperor, for fun >holds himself responsible the tens of billions of deaths in the Jihad, compares himself to Hitler >gets angry with himself, and people close to him say he's self-destructing >He's moody because everyone is using tarot cards and acting to influence the future, so he can barely use his prescience

because you need high budget for the game + some very good developers to make a Dune game, good luck finding both of those without sucking the wiener of some cancer like microsoft/sony who want gays in their games

E:BFD frickin rocked, and has one of the best OSTs in RTS. Everything Arkenstone composed for the Harkonnens is frickin gold.
Dune 2000 is the only game you need to know about.
