I fight every day against myself to become a better human being
that's already enough figthing don't you think ? and I'm on this site so I have still a lot of self-figthing to do
>zoomer
im almost about to hit 30
motion inputs are fine if you already know them, I respect the games that have them and dont think legacy titles like SF and Tekken should ever use ez inputs
however I am not going to learn something arbitrary in an age where competition has more ease of access
I want to play a fighter for footsies, I want to learn framedata and matchups, I want to be able to execute the most optimal combo the moment I get an opening so my opponents counterplay doesnt have to boil down to "I hope he fricks his inputs up"
when a good fighting game with ez inputs comes out Ill be there because I love that sort of thing, but im not going to play something where the meta is micro skillchecks based on fighting against your own controller and instead macro skillchecks where youre fighting against your opponent
You can track the demographics of this board from threads like this. It's perplexing that a board so anal about technical limitations would be interested in a genre that was born solely and for local vs., subsequently watered down to be able to get kids to play from home in the worst of online conditions. It's true when they say ingorance is bliss
Online PC is literally more optimal and less laggy than playing offline nowadays. Shove a CRT up your homosexual ass and drive to your locals to play with trannies and 14 year olds if you think that makes you tough, but some people would rather play against the best players in their country and actually get good.
I'm focusing on strategy games currently more specifically Tactics Ogre Reborn.
I did play Street Fighter 2 as part of the Capcom Fighting Collection for Switch and I got hold of the Street Fighter Collection. I really liked that Gem Fighter game.
On a side note, this was peak Chun-Li. Source is Street Fighter 2 The Animated Movie.
I honestly don't really have that much interest in most of the character designs in fighting games. Like I can think a design like Faust or Chun Li or whatever is cool, but I don't really want to play as them.
Most fighting games don't let you make your own characters though. And then if they do, you've still got to contend with the fact that the games are VERY hard even against the CPU.
I am playing as much SFV as possible lately even though I already hit my ranked goals because it is the last game in the series that will ever feel like Street Fighter again.
I played mostly Karin to Master rank, have been learning Cody lately.
What about 6? Why won't it feel like a street fighter?
The artstyle and the way the game feels. I played both closed betas so far extensively, got like 70 hours of it on Steam, for a frame of reference. The game just feels floaty and sluggish to play, and the way the characters and the special effects look are downright disgusting, so much so that I'm not even looking forward to seeing my mains return. Maybe the new mechanics they're adding to the series will be unbalanced at first, but even if they fix that in later seasons, the game will still feel like shit to play compared to how responsive and snappy SF3-5 were. SF6 feels to me like it's trying to mimic MK11, even on the stuff that game does poorly, just because that game sold really well.
Oh damn... I don't remember a single thing about her outside of the name change from Tekken 4. I think she has good counter-game on block but I'm not even sure, I'm just guessing from pro-play I've seen before.
I don't think she has good meaties, but I'm sure she has semi-decent counters; maybe if you check evo 2019 you can get some good tips, I'll look for you!
I play so many games now that most online experiences either end up with people worse than me lecturing me on how to improve, or people better than me just outright sandbagging/trolling.
SF6 is not out. Cammy trailer fricking WHEN
Cus no else does
>leaves Tekken 7 out
Maybe he wanted to make a pic of competitive fighting games?
>changed beloved character into a troony
>died few months later
as usual
Maybe he didn't know that he's catering to a crowd that doesn't actually play videogames
I'm glad GGST has Crossplay even if i hate playing against laggy ps4 Players
Because the genre died the moment the arcades disappeared
Dead genre. Play something relevant.

I refuse to learn motion inputs
dnf was close but the mana restrictions if you choose not to use motion inputs are enough to make or break playstyles
when project L comes out Ill play that, till then its just plat fighters for me
Braindead zoomer

Not going to play your woke game

Because they don't make single player like they used to anymore
Which one do you want to play?
T8 isn't out, I thirst something fierce

modern fighting games sucks and I'm too old to be good at the old, good fighting games
Don't really enjoy them, sorry. Something about the gameplay just doesn't appeal, so I can't have fun when I'm not winning with them.
chun-li looks like that now? LMFAO
There you have it, not a single game recommendation.
>namegay
>paypig
>Black person
>scat fetishist
have a nice day scum
Because I suck at fighting games.
Cuz nothing will ever be as cool as darkstalkers
I swear to god if this says third strike when I mouse over it I'm going to kill you. Okay good. You're the other flavor of nostalgic boomer.
>Chingu Li
I love you Chun
lmao this looks ridiculously stupid
From a gay ass Gankeredditor, I'll take this as a compliment.
Spinning Bird Kick has gotten better over the years. SF2 Chun Li may as well have been a human helicopter.
UNF
this game looks like liquid fricking shit, why are they obsessed with making characters less and less appealing
I'm straight.
Online fighting games suck dick
Ganker doesn't like doing anything that's easy, especially playing a simple video game
I only play Dreamcast fighting games
Playing single player is not really playing them. moron
Who said I played single player? moron
chumlee
SF6 sucks

I'm neither autistic nor transgender, just not the genre for me

Oh Karin's hard, you have to min/max everything outside of Tenko juggles.
I think if you just get used to the block strings of most of the higher tiers, you'll be able to win 80% of your rounds no problem.
What about 6? Why won't it feel like a street fighter?
I actually got into Tekken 7 this week. So far it's pretty fun, but I only have a 5-6 hours.
Which character do you use?
Katarina.
Oh damn... I don't remember a single thing about her outside of the name change from Tekken 4. I think she has good counter-game on block but I'm not even sure, I'm just guessing from pro-play I've seen before.
what the frick are you talking about
I don't think she has good meaties, but I'm sure she has semi-decent counters; maybe if you check evo 2019 you can get some good tips, I'll look for you!
I'm too much of a noob to do good counters, but she has simple moves and good range so I think she's a good pick to learn the game.
Katarina from Tekken 4?
Christie I think, in that game.
Remember to play the best character in the game.
Steve Fox.
>Steve Fox
What makes him the best?
b1
Burnt out, played them too much the past 12 years
I hear that, but I still love video games enough to reignite my passion for any genre!
because it fricking sucks
>Why aren't you playing a fighting game Ganker?
But I am.
Because unlike most other online games the process of spending more time on it and getting better just isn't fun
I play so many games now that most online experiences either end up with people worse than me lecturing me on how to improve, or people better than me just outright sandbagging/trolling.
