This. MMOs are unplayable unless you have hours and hours of uninterrupted time to dedicate to them.
Because:
>membership fee
>no story
>bad graphics
>bad gameplay
>just gambling simulators
>no interaction with other players (everyone on discord)
There is literally NO reason to play MMOs and you only do if you're severely lonely and have a gambling addiction.
I feel like duty/dungeon finder type shit really killed player interaction. Cross server shit outside of pvp shouldn’t be a thing either. They removed the community and turned current MMOs into glorified lobbies.
I got bored and went to bed. I did all the dailies and lfr isn’t up yet.
Dying genre
One of the more popular MMOs is popular precisely because it has a very non-MMO style story, with people not bothering with subscribing again until the next "story expansion".
Nobody cares about new MMOs that come out at this point.
I'm playing wotlk classic very casually. There's something so nostalgic about wotlk leveling zones and the expansion in general. if you don't take it too seriously (i.e. raiding twice a week 3-5 hours a night) the game is a lot of fun and a way that was normal back in the late 2000s

Honestly with how beloved that MMO was and how common superhero movies have been for the past decade I am really surprised no good superhero mmos have emerged.
