SAM is top DPS at for lvl 70 content too? Frick, Summoner out DPS's me by a long shot in Savage lvl 70 content..
For me what I've noticed is the top Dps jobs rotate between Sam, BLM, and Sum. BLM is by far the top dps if you know how to use it and know where to position yourself in each fight.
SMN is absurdly broken at lv. 70. This job is the single reason you can skip Nael divebombs in PF.

Wanted to give FFXIV a try with few friends but decided it will be to bothersome to get into MMO especially if you never played one before.
ff14 isn't the game you play for the mmo experience. The msq, which is mainly why people play is a single-player thing, and the main multiplayer content is dungeons/trials/raids, which are content locked behind the msq. FF14 is like mmo for antisocial types to see other people in an overworld while they play a singleplayer game. Until the end of the expac and brief stints during msq where they interact with others.
It's not really like wow where you can lvl from lvl 1 to max lvl with someone the entire way.
ffxiv is not an mmo. you will not be playing together with friends as new players. you will spend about 200 hours in cutscenes and solo scripted encounters which are so easy that you can probably autoattack your way through them, since if you even fail one attempt, the game will immediately go ‘SORRY I NOTICED YOU ARE A HUMONGOUS SHITTER WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY THAT AGAIN WITH 5X HP AND ATTACK’ so that even toddlers can see the story

Because the current job design is the most boring it has ever been, I don't want to find a static for savage anymore and there is frickall to do unless your an ultracasual that plays the game like it's Second Life. Almost every new addition this expansion has been a massive miss and the few times the devs actually added something intresting they just frick it up by being so half-assed about design decisions. I'll probably just Expansion-log from now on and maybe quit if 7.X doesn't show that the devs are trying to impove on the game rather than not giving a frick

I wish every job had something akin to positioning for BLM, but the devs are happy with only BLM having any amount of depth outside of buff alignment so I guess I'll just be stuck playing BLM forever. Nerfing positionals to the point where they are almost pointless has hurt the game by a massive amount, but they used it too much like a crutch for designing melee DPS so I'm actually glad that they have been moving away from it. NIN and MNK having positionals makes sense for their gameplay but DRG and RPR having them is fricking moronic

First website is a total amount of players who decided to use that website, lucky bancho has additional conditions set and he's using data from the lodestone from players who decided to have their profile publicly visible. Lucky Bancho updates once every 3 months which is why the data looks so skewed. It doesn't show the total amount of players who has the latest achievement(s), only the change in the last 3 months (which keeps changing since we get a new "latest" achievement every 2-4 months).
This means that the data comes down complete luck wether or not it manages to capture players before or after the latest update. The only thing the data is actually good for is showing general engagement with the endgame long term

The fights are fine, there's just no ilvl sync on them. You run content designed for i60-70 as a full raid in effectively i120 and are double or nearly double the ilvl. Kind of like how the new ultima weapon trial has an i60 sync, making you just barely better than the i45 gear that a brand new player would have at that point. They could slap an aggressive sync on it and then people would have to actually do the fights again.

My entire FC stopped playing, a few people still play but very rarely. I occasionally resub but I just do the story content and just get bored. I looked forward for the island farming thing in EW but it turned out to be boring as hell. I tried savage but frick that shit, I already have a job and it's just a sweatfest, and I don't feel like looking through troony discords to find a static. They should add shit like eureka or something I could sink time into, I also wanted to try the new deep dungeon but I gave up after 10 minutes of queue.

Endwalker proves that the standard patch content we are guaranteed every patch is not enough content to actually keep people interested in the game. Every piece of "non-standard" content we got this expansion failed spectacularly (and even some of the standard content like raids too). Dawntrail absolutely needs good exploration and grind content or this game is going to fricking die FAST by 7.1 and 7.2.

you should use it on the mountaintop, it just tells the game to autotarget and occasionally turns the camera around randomly, the mountaintop is a very small area with lots of nodes so you won't autorun yourself into a dead end or something

What's with FFXIV roleplayers and ghosting? PvP players won't do it. PvE players don't do it. Even roleplayers who *do content* won't do it. But this specific breed of person, which seems to be most roleplayers, who does no content and just gpose and stand around will ghost you like no tomorrow. You'll be having a completely normal conversation and then suddenly they'll just go silent on you with no indication as to why. It's only FFXIV roleplayers that consistently do this too.
Most "roleplaying" in the game is just varying degrees of e-whoring, you probably aren't they paypiggie they're looking for so they switched to one of the other marks they're juggling.

Yeah, but only because kiting in FFXIV feels like ass. The physics and tactility of character movement in this game are fundamentally terrible. I don't think I've ever played a game in my life where moving around felt as bad as it does in this one.
The reason bosses are basically all stationary now is because the devs have realized that the mechanics of manipulating enemy position with movement were incompetently designed, and they're too lazy/stupid to fix it, so they just make enemy position automatic as a bandaid.
Boss movement isn't that bad, they made all of them stationary and made their hitboxes FRICKHUEGH to please mouthbreathing morons that play melee DPS and were complaining about "m-muh uptime..."
Its weird because I literally dont know a single person who uses Trusts. The most I've seen is someone who runs the dungeons once just to see the NPC dialogue. I've never actually met a single soul who played through the MSQ using them, or uses them at max level for anything.
