Kaiten had a cool animation and felt satisfying to press. It also filtered morons who couldn't resist mashing Shinten at every opportunity and were unable to earmark at least 20 Kenki for Kaiten. Neither of those things may sound like much on paper but little touches like that contribute a lot to how a job feels to play. Plus, if people want to argue that stuff like that is "unneccessary" then it's not a huge stretch to argue that all oGCDs are unneccessary, or even that rotations are unneccessary period.

best way to farm mettle is only doing z3 fates, dalriada is a net loss if people are slow
delubrum is nowhere good, never ever.
z3 nonstop, just make sure to tap the mobs enough for gold then rush to the next, that way you make sure you hit those fates that spawn close to each other and often melt before the train joins in
get some rampages so you can spam aoe with a good amount of dmg and pick some essence like breathtaker
Doing 21-30 gives you +1/+1 to your aetherpool every time and people run that to level up their jobs. That being said 70/70 is probably enough since you'll get more while you're climbing, but PF groups will probably think you're lazy for not maxing it.

Chaos is French, Light is German. Typically speaking, Light is the more active raid server and the only one you'll actually have a hope in hell of seeing an Ultimate PF fill up. For casual content it doesn't really matter.

The void is a self contained story with no further consequences, if they want 7.0 to be a clean state start for newcomers and for the story they can't just connect it to what is essentially the last piece of 1.0 lore(the void) or a calamity as this is deeply tied to zodiark.
Zeromus story will conclude and the pivot with be something completely unrelated(the letter Krille received), an Ul'dah based expedition to the new world since the mining lalas have a business in the new world.
They will keep the Scions since they are pretty popular, but I agree with the rest, blank slate it at 7.0 in the new world. Maybe there is some way to even let new players elect to start at 7.0 or 2.0, which would explain the ingame lore codex.

The post-EW content drops just haven't done much for me. I'm not very invested in the story, either for the MSQ or Pandemonium. I don't have a static so I don't do Savage at all (though I'd like to) and EX is a total slog with pugs. I've really liked the alliance raids so far though, so even though I skipped this last patch I'll be back for the next one.
Also I wish that I had bottomless balls so that I could fap to Y'shtola all day every day

We got like 5 minutes of readjustment to that body before being tossed into danger while Zenos got to hide away as long as he needed. The reason he even did that whole thing at all was that he learned from his experience getting used to fighting in a new body and wanted WoL to experience the same to get stronger.

The game felt bad to play. Movement felt weird as frick. I don't like GCD and it seriously feels like shit. Especially when some skills (e.g. 1-2-3s) are basically autoattacks and should just be relegated to a single button toggle that changes your autoattacks between single-target and AoE versions.
Legitimately the only thing going for this game is that it's "popular". The coomshit is alright but it's heavily overrated tbh

After playing XVI i don't think XIV will ever have interesting job designs again. Yoshida is clearly all in on the "cater to lowest common denominator" mindset.
PvP jobs are way more interesting than their PvE versions i'll give you that. Just wish the netcode was better to make it more enjoyable.

SAM has an ability that he activates, wich if you hit him you'll get a vuln stack LIKE THE HUGE moron YOU ARE. Then when the ultra megawiener chad SAM sees you hitting him with your weakass weapon, he unzips his pants, takes out his GIANT DICK AND PENETRATES YOU WITH IT INTO YOUR VULNERABLE butthole

I used to think the game design choices in XIV were because CBU3 smartly realized the inevitable issues with MMO's but seeing those similar design choices in XVI made me realize they just think that's how games should be.
The fricking "dungeons" in XVI were what did it for me.
