If i wanted to slum it up with Bethesda trash it wouldn't be with the worst title of the bunch (Starfield aside).
Its stupidly heavy for a timed free game.
it's okay
it's only okay because looter shooters are a mostly dead genre and my other option is still borderlands
Where is it free?
Steam
is it free permanently or is it free for a weekend?
I refuse to put wear on my SSD for timed free games, especially ones from bethesda.
it's a limited trial probably, they've done it before
at least it's only 8 dollars
should have been 90% off
I won't even spend that.
Anything that is tied to internet access is an instant no buy from me. Just look at the whole shitstorm over The Crew.
Until the 19th of April.
Perm through Amazon prime and Microsoft store/Xbox
I am. Feels like I'm playing a better version of F4.
Amazon gaming. Had to use a vpn to get it.
>better is when there's no real story, it has microtransactions and random players are AFK on the path
Because fallout 4 story is so great, amiright?
>microtransactions
Irrelevant. I only grab free stuff from the store.
>random players are AFK on the path
Seen a real player once in 5 days of playing and only because I was passing through the event zone. If you're really that autistic you can block people and you'll disappear from their map. Not to mention that every building/dungeon is completely single player and that's where you will spend 60% of the game.
>Seen a real player once in 5 days of playing and only because I was passing through the event zone
Sounds like a fun multiplayer game
It's not and it's a good thing. You can just play it like a fresh F4 which is amazing option considering everyone already beat F4 at least twice.
Should I finally buy New Vegas on PC to start another run or should I just go back to my Xbox save that I haven't touched in 8 months?
Get it on PC for the mods
If you like it it's worth getting on PC purely to get fix mods and mods that help the stability.
go do the vivanewvegas modding tutorial
if i wasn't trying to finish fo4 finally before london releases i'd be doing that
>it's free
on EGS or something?
Not sure about steam but I got it from Amazon Gaming. It was for Microsoft Store. Haven't installed it yet and probably won't anytime soon. Hopefully I won't forget I have the game since I'm not using Microsoft stores for anything.
I played it a while ago and the show made me get back in. I did some missions and stuff. I dunno. The enemies are bullet spongy. I dont feel like I'm working towards anything.
>the show made me get back in
do you people actually watch this garbage?
christ, Ganker is full of normalgays now.
You sound like a loser.
>you're a loser for not watching the latest streaming service garbage
sure but I'd rather be a loser than a moronic homosexual that does whatever the TV says to do.
>The enemies are bullet spongy
You probably used a shit build. What were you running in fallout 4?
He’s probably just between levels 35-50 where enemy levels are constantly outpacing your equipment.
still a bug infested mess
>ongoing event for Fallout Amazon series rewards
>have to be a monthly paypiggy to get them
>ongoing event for Fallout Amazon series
ooooh
nah
I'd rather do something more fun, like cut my grass with toenail clippers.
it's basically just Fallout 4 but with friends if they're stupid enough to buy it
its insane how "multiplayer fallout" would have blown our minds as kids, but once we got it we didn't care. Todd must have been hurt
>as kids
How old are you?
19
You’re 19 and you’re saying when you were a kid you didn’t talk about a multiplayer fallout with your friends?Fallout 4 came out 9 years ago, I don’t see how the statement is that wild
a good idea executed horribly
would be a much different story if it was a single player game with dropin co-op like borderlands. it also would have helped if it wasn't a broken mess on launch and there weren't microtransactions.
what also pissed me off is them putting off TES VI for this garbage and starfield.
Bethesda truly takes the crown for taking the best ideas and executing them in the worst possible ways.
TES VI will be garbage as well. I don't see the current Bethesda making anything that's up to the modern standard.
Well said, although, the game does have its charm. Nothing like 10 people gathering together to defeat a giant raid boss. Right?
>going through the Schizo storylines
>stumble into the sheepsquatch one
>fun, but holy shit, that did not go as expected
>month later still picking up threads from it in other story content
The writing's not half-bad either. At least the post-wastelanders stuff. I wasn't playing when it was an empty wasteland except for bots, so not entirely sure what was around at the time and what wasn't other than main story. Which didn't have a satisfactory end.
As-is, this is an uninteresting idea.
HOWEVER.
If drop-in co-op involved being able to fly in on a vertibird...
Fallout 76 has its problems that, even in its current state, would ward people away, but I would say that, when it actually comes to it, people are a lot less actually interested in single player games being multiplayer than one would think. If anything, I find it quite funny, because there seems to be at least some kind of generational aspect to it: people who like older games are down for shit like 256 player Doom co-op zerg rushes, whereas more modern games get people nitpicking "ok but how would that be fun/balanced/best translate the gameplay to co-op," but then when you say you want co-op, it's treated as a zoomer thing to ask.
Really, it's just quite the disappointing and weird situation all around.
are we now pretending no one played FOnline here?
Already beat it, fun content. Great areas, absolutely a fun experiment but I'm done with it. There's nothing to gain anymore, you know?
>There's nothing to gain anymore
kek its the one game that ISNT a singleplayer game with an ending, its supposed to be kind of "roll your own" in a way. A mini fallout mmo, right?
Because its bad
Because it’s shit, now frick off back to /fog/
I would have to be paid to play it. Quite a lot if I had to pretend I was enjoying it.
>it's free.
Too expensive.
Is Fallout 1 free anywhere?
It's on sale on steam for pocket change
Oh so it is, I didn't see it before. Thanks
Prime Gaming (assuming you already pay for amazon prime), gave a GOG key away not too long ago.
In fact, they've been giving the whole series out (except FO4).
It's free if you have an Amazon Prime free trial. They give you a Microsoft Store key. That still wasn't enough for me to play it though. Fallout just isnt the same when its not singleplayer
its been play for free for a while on steam. and it essentially is singleplayer. just like every modern multiplayer game.
I would play the game if you could just explore areas, take shit and put it in my unlimited storage but that's not possible without a sub.
Why are you not consuming trash right out of the trash pile? It's free.
it's garbage and free only for weekend, buy an ad next time
i cant
the game is so broken, flawed and feels so yanky
story so shit
sidequests so annoying
nothing you do feels interesting
gay ass game
bethesda has never, ever made a good game
I watched the first episode of the show tonight and it wasn't bad
Here's a pc key I don't need
?9HD47G6CWFFFCHHMFGPHP93?
1 ? =:Combat Evolved
2 ? = World War Letter
i uhh don't get it anon
1. H-alo
2 Z
welp, i can't do it anymore cuz i tried too many times lol
I'm pretty sure world war letter is i, but I need a hint for how to get a letter or number out of halo that isn't h, o, 0, or 343
whoever gets it please let me know
World War Z
I dont like it, but if it was smaller i would give it a try
who wants to be on my team and protect me uwu?
It's not free. You have to pay the game, the online sub on console and then the game sub to get a decent storage.
I already played fallout 4
>not playing 1, 2, NV
do better
I’m playing 4 and 76 rn
1 and 2 have some of the clunkiest menus, HuDs, and slow ass combat. And still, their game feel is far above NV.
NV is not worth playing because its trapped on that atrocious engine. Movement is terrible, combat is worse, every interaction with any system in game is torture.
Just play Piranha bytes games instead, all of them are designed and feel so much better and its not close
This rotten Dogshit is the height of Bethesdas hubris.
Instead of Bethesda fixing their unimmersive design or improving game feel they go multiplayer. Multiplayer should be the last thing you add to series, after its already finely polished. Bethesdas shitslop is anything but polished. They seriously thought there was nothing to improve. Todd Howard is the hack of a lifetime and I will never touch your dogshit
I played it for 5 hours and up past Level 15, although only doing the first few missions
>Pros
-Perk System is really interesting. I think it's probably my favorite iteration of perks and leveling up in the 3D Fallouts, at least from what I've seen so far
-I was surprised to see Special Checks be a thing in dialogue, and I like that I wasn't given a marker to follow-up on my reward regarding the one at the farmhouse
-Map is pretty cool just to walk around. Mostly have stayed in the forest hills of the starter area, but it's a nice site and I like the terrain. Layouts for shootouts aint half-bad either
-VATS being real-time auto-aim is surprisingly fun
-Scrapping guns to learn random gun parts is an alright way to do things; makes me pick shit up more than I would otherwise
-Being able to have players visit your camp is a great motivator to build
-Events can be a genuine ton of fun, especially that Wild West Holdup one
>Cons
-Game is a bit too easy just wandering around, but that might just be because I'm in the beginner areas
-Other players killing enemies before you get there in the overworld--namely stuck out when Deathclaw Island had no deathclaws
-The two above put together means I don't really care about co-op outside of events
-Experiencing a tiny bit of latency with your hits getting confirmed or weapons being switched even when no one's nearby
For what's basically standalone FO4 DLC, it's not half-bad. I'm sure it's got plenty more stuff to piss off people who still care about story and setting, since there's shit like the "Wise Mothman" and FEV monsters + Super Mutants and all this other stuff, but for the people just wanting to walk around and shoot shit, it's not that bad.
i have 5 hours in it now and i still don't get it. i'm playing it for free and i feel kind of ripped off and like i'm wasting my time. its just fallout 4 but with paid fast travel and paid just about everything else too. at least the map is nice i guess.
it's boring.
the only thing it has going for it is the multiplayer, and 99% of that is just seeing people go past you with 0 interaction. modded fo4 is better
Because its terrible
you're moms also free but i wouldnt even touch her with a 10feet pole
I do, it's a great stoner game
would love to try it out but ive got bandwidth caps. only 53gigs left for the month of april.
It's ok for the first few hours at least.
Some high level guy begged me to help him with a challenge that involved me drowning and him reviving me and gave me some goodies as thanks. The playerbase seems ok.
>fallout 76 baptism
>Click on the store page
>Buy Atoms click here for more information
No thanks OP
i always consider it
but then i remember the UI and immediately don't want to play it anymore
>it's free.
Okay nice time to finally play it
>Be me
>Decide to try out free trial
>Game just throws me back to steam and shows the thanks for playing now buy it popup.
Very nice
I sure did enjoy getting back to my steam library before I even see full bllack screen.
>get game for free
>go to watch youtube video to see what the game is all about
>you want to grind gold bullion
no no no no no not another microtransaction currency
Looking back, there's actually not nearly as much stuff for gold worth getting as it seemed like at first. Even less if you go power armor only and don't need the regular armors and backpack mods.
Seems like you could be pretty happy only getting the plasma caster and mods, and a few camp items like the ammo converter. The cost for that would be extremely reasonable, what you'd pick up just playing for a couple weeks if you didn't skimp on events.
>tfw saved for the t-65
>never use it because union pa is a thing
I'm going to play Tactics instead for the first time
There hasn't been a good multiplayer game in 20 years
Because it's not free unless you think playing a game is 95% inventory management.
It's not even multiplayer, there are just other people in the world.
Is it viable to play exclusively by yourself or is it forced multiplayer shit?
It's literally fallout 4 all over again. Other people can't do shit except doing your event mission for you (you still get the loot and rewards)
forced multiplayer, but it's perfectly viable to play solo
it's basically a PvE game since PvP is neutered to hell and back
Not a fan of the FOMO bullshit they added.
I don't want to play a game this late on knowing that a huge chunk of content is locked away from me, either behind a MTX paywall or for the fact that I didn't play it when a season was happening.
I went back to it last night but there just nothing worth doing once you’ve see it all. The game is nothing but obnoxious grinding. Grinding for everything. It took me 300+ level to get to that state tho.
Does it have robot building like from the FO4 DLC?
That was my favorite part of that game.
Unfortunately no.
The closest "substitute" if you can call it that, is the tame animal skill letting you drag just about anything in game back to your camp to keep as a pet. Mole rats, deatlhclaws, megasloths, etc.
There are semi-rare varities of some monsters beyond the usual variations, so if you're a picky flash git, it's a little taste of pokemon for you.
When you're older than 12 you realize time is more important than money.
I would rather pay for something I really like instead of getting something that's just "okay" for free
I know it's supposed to be an apocalypse and everything is all but destroyed but I hate how everything blends together in a brown blrury mess that makes it seem like dof is always on, I don't know how to describe it but fallout 4 and 76 do it both.
