the build engine fundamentally sucks ass

it used custom textures that looked out of a 90's cyberpunk futuristic setting and used a custom mugshot that was funny

you gotta get to the later maps to find harder enemies
the first 3 maps is just former humans + imps + pinkies
I guess from map 4 you get cacos+meatballs and stuff and maps after you get barons/fat guys and so on

why?
most megawads for vanilla DOOM use the better enemies much earlier or early levels tend to short and sweet.
my hunch is that BD is harder, but my mod makes DOOM harder too and it falls flat.
id complain more, but i more-so want to know the logic.

light yellow is pistol rounds
yellow is higher caliber rounds
orange is shells
red is demonic

I much rather have this hud than the classic bar that cuts on the entire bottom of the screen
the classic Doom bar hud was designed (and not just in Doom but many other fps of the 90's) to be used on screens with 4:3 aspect ratio
You might not end up using it because it can affect performance significantly depending on the map, but check this shit out

don't really care for BD stuff, only liked that stuff when i was younger. (in my experience, Zdoom .wads are mostly worse)
but i really like the recent .wad from doomerboards, the steampunk is alot of fun.

Think Hideous Destructor but with less gun tism and more survival horror. Definitely a slower experience and it's got a simple crafting system, makes you really place shots carefully to not waste ammo, etc.
