Sanguine Rose is the most frustrating game I've ever played.
The art is really good, but the writing is awful and the whole thing is just an extremely transparent excuse to endlessly jerk off the writer's villain self-insert who the entire cast bends over backwards for at every opportunity and who wins no matter what choices you make except in one ending where you both die.

There are tons or amateur artists who will donate their time to draw art for you, the promise of working on a project instead of jacking off or watching moronic social media is blessing to many people.
I've been doing game dev for a while, and no. Artists don't help you for free, if anything, they gouge the shit out of you because they know that they have millions of other people willing to commission their art. Maybe it's just because I have zero charisma and speak like an autist, but still, that's been my experience with this whole thing and I've been trying for years.
