It would have been considered a hidden gem or a little underrated if it was its own thing. It was def Ninja Theory's best effort at the time. Also, the characters were so different from the source material that they could have changed the names and it would not be recognizeable as a DMC game.

It was pretty stable for me both on PS4 slim and PC. Even on a GTX 750 Ti it ran okay and on my GTX 1660 it's fricking gorgeous.
The game ran at a silky 60, but still crashed all the time. I blame it on the crack, and it being a Denuvo crack. It's around $20 on Steam right now, but that'd be patronizing Denuvo shit, and I've got quite the back log as it is now.
I used the crack too. My only issue was that it had long freeze every so often, usually when traveling. This was supposedly do to dogshit CPU optimization, but that was alleviated with the Special K mod.

homie what? FFXV is like the opposite of soul. It was a mess of a game cobbled together to salvage the development time put into it that was only successful because of the brand name and the disgusting amount of marketing with all those shit spinoffs and cross media.
And yet the bond between the 4 bros was soulful as frick. Sometimes soul can happen by accident. Is the game a 10/10 masterpeice? Fuuuuuuck no. Combat is just meh at best and clunky at worst, the story is a bit all over the place if you don't watch the tie-in media, and the open world gameplay feels rather cookie cutter, but it's carried by the things it does right which mostly comes down to world design, presentation, and characters and playing the game, mediocre as it is, is a good way to invest the player further in the character relationships. If the combat was better and the open world me "open", this could have been a classic.

Luminous seems like an impressive engine with its lighting and what not but I cant tell if the team working with it is that fricking incompetent or if the engine is truly shit. They apperently moved FF7R away from being developed on it and fricking switched engines for KH3 mid development which is an expensive and time consuming decision to make. So ive got to assume the engine is just fricking horrid to work with of they ditched 2 of their own major IPs from being developed in their own in house engine in favor of a 3rd party one like UE4.

FFXIII is definitely worth it just for getting to Oerba and Dust to Dust starts playing.
FFXIII simply had a lot working against it. The story and characters were not good enough to justify a game as linear and story driven that it was. To top it off, the combat had one single gimmick (the paradigms) that it rested on, and if you didn't care for that it did nothing for you.
As far as FFXV goes, I love a lot about it but the combat is so god damn bad and I can't pretend it isn't. In contrast I thought FF7 Remake combat was the perfect mix of new and old.
I disagree. XIII had the most fun character dynamics in the game and the story had some great ideas. Sazh's suicide and Hope confronting Snow were both some of my favorite FF moments in the entire series.

Hmmm, not sure since it seems like everyone hated XV and everyone hated 7R. I enjoyed both, but I will say FFXV felt more open-worlded and explorative compared to FF7R, especially since FF7R is just part one of a three part series, but the first part was still pretty long. It's subjective to the person, like FFXV has more freedom to it I guess? You can go more places and you don't feel confined to areas/places. There is also just more to do like fishing and shit.
FF7R has way better combat but was too confined and padded out to stay in midgar.
FFXV was more open but several times more empty , even more padded out, and the combat was simplified to all hell.
Both their stories are moronic and poorly told.
Overall FF7R would still win against it.

XIII combat is unfortunately too easy but I enjoyed it a lot, specially ofc the post game content, it is like a rhythm based combat pretty fun when it eventually clicks, for me the combat was LR > XIII > 13-2, dunno why but I didn't like 13-2 it so much even though it is better than 13.
