Luck, fate, the intervention of God himself. The game doesn't really need to answer that question when you could come up with your own reason that satisfies you.
More like it's irrelevant. We can take hits from a Death Claw, we see other people take hits from Death Claws. Anything could happen, I'm more surprised that he's walking around doing stuff as a combatant and not just in a coma or paralyzed
They probably put a wet sack over his head so he wouldn't die of internal burns. And die instead broken at the bottom of the canyon with his own skin contracting and suffocating him. That sounds like the kind of brutality Cesar would like to project.
How would you heal long term damage of 3rd degree burns over 90% of the body with wasteland scraps? You weren't gonna drag him into a pre-war hospital, that's for sure.
>Drag him to the Big MT and put him in an autodoc.
this is getting to "who changes the batmobile's tires?!" tier redditor pedantry. the fact is nobody's going to hog tie this guy and fricking drag him over 200 miles from Utah to California just to shove him into one of the few remaining autodocs and cure his scarring just out of spite because they're possessed by an autistic teenage gamer who can't handle not being allowed to do something. He's effectively immune to chems so you cant even sedate him and he's not going anywhere with you if it doesnt involve shooting White Legs
>fun hypothetical
Where? All I'm seeing is nitpicky reddit bullshit from people who've never played the game let alone put any genuine thought into it because the answer is objective and right in your face
>hey man how would you heal him >I would take him to Big MT >makes sense
That’s it, you’re the homosexual that started crying about reddit (which you’re very familiar with for some reason) and getting pissy.
>If it comes to cleaning bathrooms
Does he actually clean them? I can't imagine Bruce Wayne using the bathroom in such a way that needs it to be clean, unless he's bloodied up or something.
He doesnt want to be healed. This is part of his atonement for his actions, and he plans on atoning for the rest of his life because he can never undo what he's done. Anything less and as far as he's concerned, he's beyond salvation
He is "healed" but has no skin, beneath the bandages he is nothing but scar and pink, very prone to breaking and very sensitive so he needs clean bandages on top.
Its very painful but not as bad as being on fire so enough healing powder and a strong will lets him go on with his (painful) day
The only way to heal him is to scrape all the scar tissue, like skinning him alive with sandpaper, and skin grafts. >muh sink autodoc
OWB was not a thing when honest hearts released
House is a rotting corpse barely hanging to life (remember he said he was in a coma for a while) Caesar is not smart or charismatic, just a man with studies surrounded by ignorant tribals, Kimball is basically Bush Jr.
The Van Buren version had him as hanged and you'd have to cut him down. Somehow he just... refused to die from hanging, for all that time, because he was so pissed off.
This is why I kill Vulpes Inculta every time without fail.
I have no moral position, nipton seems like a hole. But he asked me to tell people FOR FREE a message. I'm a courier, I get paid to deliver messages. I can't have the idea of free messages spreading around.
It always kinda annoyed me that NV doesn't allow you some leeway to do mercenary work playing both sides like Yojimbo
You can work for the NCR, work for Caesar, Work for Caesar and sabotage the NCR and that's it
Caesar's quest immediately put the NCR against you
My very first NV playthrough when it came out was literally just revolver ocelot. >That moustache, old man hair >Guns and speech tagged >Tried to do nothing but play everyone against everyone.
It was a shame anon I agree, but you can get reasonably far up most faction's totem poles if you are careful. Problem is first time you play you don't magically know what quests you can get away with and what you can't. I got rumbled by the Legion when I helped out finding lost supplies at forlorn hope and it put me against legion soldiers. Up until then both sides loved me.

Also makes the most sense, your entire fricking job was getting him that chip and he's paying you for more jobs, might as well.
Yup >som homosexual:"yea whatever you big dumb merc! you're just house's dog who works for nothing but money and monetary gain!"
lol ok, face the wall now please, me house said so
The righteous path is helping the tribals fight off the White Legs, but not tempering the violence with mercy rather than being consumed by it. Thus why Joshua acknowledges that it is not God who wanted General Gobbledyasiatic to suffer, he did.
Daniel is a complete selfish pussy who only wants to feel good about himself rather than actually do what needs to be done. Joshua is an actual Angel of retribution while Daniel is just another christcuck. Even when you show mercy to the white legs leaders giving the sorrows and white legs an affinity not just for strength and ferocity in battle but also honor, even when you help Follow's Chalk understand he has a responsibility to the tribe and his family, and the motherfricker isn't even man enough to tell a walking cloud her husband is dead so he makes you do it for him; After all that what happens? He still sulks and whines like a baby for the rest of his life about how he failed everyone even though shit would've been completely fricked sideways for all of them if Joshua wasn't there. I hate Daniel so goddamn much, the only reason I don't smoke him every playthrough is because of my respect for Joshua and the Sorrows.
on a ultra wide screen it doesnt really bother me much I also installed a couple of mod packs and Im too lazy to check which one does the HUD thing on the right
Caesar probably lost his cool over losing, started screaming and threw a fit at Joshua like an autistic man child as usual. >Calm down, Edwar- >CALM DOWN WITH THIS >CALM DOWN WITH THIS >YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE GOING TO TAKE HOOVER DAM! MISSION: FAILED!
I'm not sure Caesar was around when Joshua failed to take the dam. The dude's a generic despot, probably just ordered his peons to capture him, and is only present when he's burned. Like Ulysses said, Caesar didn't even bother to care out of spite when the White Legs fricked up the New Canaan to look for Joshua.
>Ulysses was responsible for what happens in HH but you don't find that out until later
Damn I either must of missed that or completely forgot. How did he tie into HH? Last time I played I did HH before even entering the strip and didn't do LR til just before the final quest so I may of forgot some minor details in that time.
He would lose half his aesthetic
Considering the medical tech in-universe even after the apocalypse you definitely could, but I don't think Joshua would ever accept it.
you can, but you need 80 speech for that
How come he didn't go blind?
He closed his eyes
he fell in the water so he was safe
The desire to not go blind was stronger than the fire's ability to make him go blind around him.
Not interested in discussing how things work in a post apoc world /w ghouls and mutants.
because God willed it

He is blind, that's the twist
The fire didn't go in his eyes, obviously.
fire legally cannot blind you without your consent
They probably put a wet sack over his head so he wouldn't die of internal burns. And die instead broken at the bottom of the canyon with his own skin contracting and suffocating him. That sounds like the kind of brutality Cesar would like to project.
Fire can't go through Skin, its no a Ghost stupid.
>he hasn't seen the fire ghosts
those are flame atronachs
no he's talking about the guys with the gas bombs
He blinked
what if he doesn't want you to
you need 101 medicine
How would you heal long term damage of 3rd degree burns over 90% of the body with wasteland scraps? You weren't gonna drag him into a pre-war hospital, that's for sure.
stimpacks are magic
Drag him to the Big MT and put him in an autodoc.
Beat me to it
Here's your new epidermis bro.
>puts his brain in a robot like the scientists
a mormon robot shouting verses from the bible while shooting lazers at raiders.

Doesn't Alfred change the tires on the batmobile?
If it comes to cleaning bathrooms or booking appointments anything batman wouldn't do he can.
>If it comes to cleaning bathrooms
Does he actually clean them? I can't imagine Bruce Wayne using the bathroom in such a way that needs it to be clean, unless he's bloodied up or something.
Batman just shits and piss inside the costume.
>He's effectively immune to chems so you cant even sedate him
He'll though it out.
rub some aloe on it
because his soul is wounded, not his body.
He doesnt want to be healed. This is part of his atonement for his actions, and he plans on atoning for the rest of his life because he can never undo what he's done. Anything less and as far as he's concerned, he's beyond salvation
He’s Mormon, he can still go to the Telestial Kingdom
He is "healed" but has no skin, beneath the bandages he is nothing but scar and pink, very prone to breaking and very sensitive so he needs clean bandages on top.

Legionbros, are we moronic?
It looked really cool when his burning body fell tho
it was about sending the message
>perhaps he was wondering, why would you set a man ablaze before throwing it on the water
Just gonna conveniently leave out the distance between him and said water is roughly at least 100 feet?
You’re implying a random anon knows what surface tension is
bullshit, water is soft, no way you can die if you hit the water, its not even solid
>asian_guy_jumping_of_the_bridge.webm
just uhhhhhhhhh make your body pointy
He farted really hard onto the water before he landed in it. It broke the surface.
Unironically yes.
Why is Snuffles so big brained?
There's a lot of literature in the tunnels.
i think caesar has brain damage
>Caesar
>4 Charisma
Fricking HOW, both Kimball and House(puter form) have 5 Charisma
Probably because it's completely meaningless?
It wasn't for the devs, considering they gave House's shriveled husk 1 ST, 10 PE, 10 IN, 1 CH and 10 LK.
I think you care about this much much more than they did.
Probably not.
Autism
>House
>1 CH
moronic
How charmed would you be by a horrifying raisin man? He's much easier to talk with through his discord call.
probably because ceasar is a dick.
>ask him if he's okay
>oh, i'm perfec- DO I LOOK OKAY!? I HAVE A BRAIN TUMOR, MORON!
tbf that 's what happens when most of your guys are genuinely fricking moronic
House is a rotting corpse barely hanging to life (remember he said he was in a coma for a while) Caesar is not smart or charismatic, just a man with studies surrounded by ignorant tribals, Kimball is basically Bush Jr.
>Kimball is basically Bush Jr.
1IN 10CH?
He's a 4 CHA in a Faction of 1-2 CHAs.
>I'm a tumor I'm a tumor

The Van Buren version had him as hanged and you'd have to cut him down. Somehow he just... refused to die from hanging, for all that time, because he was so pissed off.
He didn't get on that list by being a goddamn pussy.
it can actually happen
also sounds like something the legion would do, leave an un-successfully-hanged man hanging to die of exposure
Van Buren's Joshua was fricking menace. He'd be hostile to anybody it's great. Still prefer his NV version though.
I prefer The Burned Man to the Hanged Man but it would've been cool.
His talking head looks pretty wicked in Fallout: Yesterday though
The hanged man looks like he still got burned.
The burned and hanged man.
True, he does. Lookin a little Fred E. Krueger-ish
The banged man
What kind of moron thinks you can fall hundreds of feet into water and be ok? This isnt the movies.
They were trying to bewilder him to death.
I thought Joshua walked away while on fire
Honest Hearts was a Mothership Zeta tier embarrassment.
mothership zeta was awesome
HH woulda been the worst DLC if Reddit World Blues didnt bail em out
Its definitely the least interesting. Just some tribal clashes, who cares.
Good morning sirs
>has to change his bandages every day
That's alot of wasted cloth.
They just boil them to resanitize.
That's alot of wasted water.
he uses his piss
Water is a renewable, plentiful resource at Zion.
You can offer to heal him, but he turns you down. It's his second baptism.
is he stupid
Yes, very.
Just listen to the dumb shit he says.
Religious people tend to be.
Are there any good weapon pack mods for FNV? Ones that feel vanilla and aren't overpowered
Mr House is the best choice

He pays you in exposure.
Uonronically respectable position
He did pay you, in experience.

Reminder that he's talking about your sinful ways rather than about his own injuries.
I want to know how he can mag dump a stubby .45 that accurately while missing half the nerve endings in his body
The righteous fury of God flows through his hands.
i think the game states that there isnt really anything righteous or godly about his fury. he is just a violent c**t looking for an excuse.
Wow just like me, even the Mormon part
The righteous path is helping the tribals fight off the White Legs, but not tempering the violence with mercy rather than being consumed by it. Thus why Joshua acknowledges that it is not God who wanted General Gobbledyasiatic to suffer, he did.
Hey, Built To Destroy or Fast Shot for Unarmed/Small Guns build?
I picked both on my most recent playthrough but I usually choose Built To Destroy over Fast Shot.
Don't third degree burns cauterize your nerve endings to the point you stop feeling pain? Why would he be in chronic pain then?
He fell into water so he still has some of his nerve endings
The body still tries to call to the nerves and freaks out when nothing responds. phantom pain is a very real thing.
Bravo Kojima
Every night, I can feel my leg…
>Religious guy's name is Joshua, an alternative pronunciation for the name Jesus
Bravo
i wish it was even that deep but the writer just straight up named the character after himself
ENERGY WEAPONS homie
I like them in 3 and 4, they don't really fit the aesthetic of NV
Don't care, still gonna deliver Cass to the Silver Rush.
3 and 4 are the only ones that don't take place in a shitty desert
If a game is going to bless me by including lever action rifles, I have no choice but to use them.
>energy weapons build for House ending
>rifles and revolvers build for NCR ending
>unarmed build for Legion ending
This is the way, my friends.
I don't believe in the legend of joshua graham therefore he doesn't exist if you don't play the DLC. He's just a legion ghost story.
Ahh, that felt good.
he's onto you anon, he'll always be just one step behind you. RUN
i don't think i've ever seen a player get out skilled this fricking hard
I don't think I've ever sided with Daniel in 13 years of playing New Vegas
I did it once for the cheevo, fricker didn't even stand by his decision in the end too, like goddamn.
Daniel is a complete selfish pussy who only wants to feel good about himself rather than actually do what needs to be done. Joshua is an actual Angel of retribution while Daniel is just another christcuck. >giving the sorrows and white legs
*giving the sorrows and dead horses
It's only a bit of dirt
I always imagined him falling down the grand canyon the way Homer Simpson falls down the gorge, but on fire.
look at them go
>no option to go with them to their new planet
shit game
That would just kill you
based boon
>that FOV on the Pip-Boy
>all that shit on the side of the screen
How do you even play like that
on a ultra wide screen it doesnt really bother me much

Fallout 3… I am… remembered? Is this the most talked about game in the history of Ganker?
Because he's fricked.
I wonder how awkward the conversation between Caesar and Joshua was after he failed to take Hoover Dam and Caesar told him he had to die.
Caesar probably lost his cool over losing, started screaming and threw a fit at Joshua like an autistic man child as usual.
>Calm down, Edwar-
>CALM DOWN WITH THIS
>CALM DOWN WITH THIS

This. I seriously doubt they sat down and had a conversation about it.
Some wounds do not heal.
Crawling in my skin.
is fear how you will fall?
Because for a skin graft you need skin
>thinking medicine is what will heal him
Because you don’t have Religion 100
he won't let you even try. He says this right to your face
You can offer it to him, he refuses. He's a delusional religious wacko, he thinks this is the punishment he must endure. Whatever.
Some things are permanent.
Muh atonement
Tbf he did some bad shit
Honestly I was expecting this guy to be the final boss or something like that, he gets a lot of build up about him in the campaign.
if he was he'd be pretty underwhelming since you can just shove an IED up his ass as soon as you meet him and instantly kill him
Maybe
Tho in retrospective, Honest Hearts is just build up for Ulysses's (very moronic) backstory.
Was it? I don't remember Ulysses being mentioned or alluded to in HH. If anything HH felt very self contained compaired to the other 3 DLCs.
Ulysses was responsible for what happens in HH but you don't find that out until later. Joshua mentions him too but doesn't elaborate on it.
>Ulysses was responsible for what happens in HH but you don't find that out until later
Damn I either must of missed that or completely forgot. How did he tie into HH? Last time I played I did HH before even entering the strip and didn't do LR til just before the final quest so I may of forgot some minor details in that time.
Ulysses trained the White Legs and directed them to destroy New Canaan, which of course led to the problems in Zion when the Courier gets there.
Ah yeah I remember now. It's been years since I played the game from start to finish so some of the smaller details are a little foggy.
Remove his bandages and watch his harem disappear or orbit Daniel instead.
Can he even have sex? Is his burnt weenie even able to feel anything anymore?
Because you have 0 in Doctor, because Bethesda removed the skill.
