The actual reason for the dexcut (rebalancing the VGC meta), which in retrospect, makes perfect sense, and most people would’ve accepted it with that line of logic. Why did they make up some blatant lie about “not being able to port the models”, which was immediately disproven when the models all had the exact same vertices and animations as they did in previous games? People inherently don’t like being lied to, so of COURSE it’s gonna cause controversy, when the lie is so bad that people immediately disbelieve it.
Why didn’t they just admit the real, sensible answer instead?
Wasn't the real reason for dexcut HOME subscription?
Have you ever heard of banlists you frickin moron?
yes
/thread
because switch owners are mentally ill
because japan just consoom
>not being able to port the models
that’s not what they said
also you don’t know what models are, every single model in all the switch games are different from the 3ds ones.
>Why didn’t they just admit the real, sensible answer instead?
because the dexcut had nothing to do with balance. The Game has become even more of a powercrept shithow since dexit. The actual reason was about eliminating CHARIZARDs competition.
>(rebalancing the VGC meta)
When they decided on dlc which would be before the release of the main game, They decided to add the genies back in, There goes that reasoning.
If they had come out and said "look we don't have time for this anymore were being forced to work on 2 year deadlines and its not enough time" How would people react then? "Why are they not hiring more workers?" however if they say we couldn't move the models the average person isn't gonna be able to prove that
If i knew the timeline between when this was found out and when it spread globally for they average person to know they lied it has to be before the first 2 weeks of the game on sale not that it mattered "bought it anyway" happened
>The actual reason for the dexcut (rebalancing the VGC meta), which in retrospect, makes perfect sense
It does not, as you don't need a dexcut to do that, you use banlists.
They could just stick to the regional Pokedex regardless of how many Pokemon are in the game. They did that for BW, XY and SM in the first year of each.
I don't really care about Dexit, but VGC isn't the reason for it.
Please understand.
>The actual reason for the dexcut (rebalancing the VGC meta)
>multiple meta staples were left in
>legendaries added in within a year
Doesn't add up.
>The actual reason for the dexcut (rebalancing the VGC meta)
No it isn't you fricking idiot. It might have been believable during SWSH's release, But the moment they decided to immediately bring back every single broken shillmon and legendary cancer in the DLCs (and continue to do so in SV, with a healthy dose of power creep) they threw that excuse out the window.
Literally the only reason the dexcut is a thing is to hold an arbitrary number of Pokemon hostage every game so they can force shmucks to constantly subscribe to HOME so as to not lose access to their precious Pokemon. And this being Pokemon, it worked flawlessly.
They know how moronic the fanbase is, they bought SwSh anyways and then repeated by buying SV.
It gatekept /vp/edos, that's a good enough reason to do it.
>The actual reason for the dexcut (rebalancing the VGC meta),
if that wasn't the case they wouldn't've readded landorus.
because that'd cause a divide in the fanbase between casuals and the competitive autists on "I can't use my favorites because some people taking a children's game way to seriously can't deal with it"
>rebalance VGC
>Gen 8 was the most powercrept generation since 5
Yeah i don't think that's correct.
