have the dkcr games all done well? it's more the fact that rare got cucked out of being a nintendo 2nd party. that and the amount of time between games these days is much longer than it was in the 90s. DKC1-3 all come out within like 2 years, it was 4 years between DKCR and DKCTF

Yes they have. Tropical Freeze port on Switch sold more than Fire Emblem, Kirby Star Allies, Yoshi, Xenoblade, etc.

Returns sold well, 10m across Wii and 3DS. Tropical Freeze didn't do as well, 5m across Wii U and Switch.

Because nothing can live up to the original trilogy, even returns was trash

It's weird to see him in Smash with none of the kids playing don't know who he is. The games are gradually turning into a tomb for dead series.

The Perception is that Nintendo stopped making Donkey Kong games after DK64

Miyamoto hates DKC and successfully killed off the series.

DK is his favorite franchise, and he was responsible for reviving DKC with Retro

Decline? It didn't decline moron. Nintendo were incompetent and simply stopped making DK games despite the fact that these games sell more than Fire Emblem and Xenoblade

americans love donkey kong so much because they associate monkeys with black people, completely mentally ill culture, no wonder even the globohomosexual is going to do the "great reset" to our current civilization because not even them could live carefree lives with how disfuncional everything about american culture, which is now world culture, is

Rare were horrible devs and DKC is shit that Miyamoto rightfully called out. The game only sold on “graphics” that looked like shit then too. Yet Nintendo idiots can’t let it go. Seriously, Rare is horrible and we have seen since Microsoft bought them just how much the Nintendo bonus got them.

back in the day it wasn't nintendo making donkey kong great, it was rare. when miyamoto saw that rare was doing things better than he could, he had them fed to the vultures, aka microsoft

Rare at best were parasites. Even the fabled devs who left and came together for Yooka also showed how bad they are.

Because Retro called dibs. And then flunked as a studio and completely imploded.

Nintendo should have bought Monster Games, or poached their staff for Retro
