>best selling game in the series >reviewed very well >general sentiment is mostly positive about it among fans
Not sure what impact you wanted it to have beyond these, OP.
It doesn't have Leia so it doesn't have the impact i want Nah the game was good actually
>canonically sends her friends Pepe the Frog impact font memes
Leia friends, please explain
Everything Leia does is acceptable and that includes pepe shitposting
With this logic Marvel movies are one of the best pieces of cinema, waifugays like you are the most braindead, i bet you guys didnt even finish the game and only like the cute girls in this series, cute girls wont make your game good morons
The last 1/3 of this game is actual trash.
You fight through hallways with boring ass enemies with a cutscene every 3 steps you take.
The ending I also complete garbage where after all you've done to save the world the main character decides to "forgive" the mass murderer insane dude who kamikaze'd a ship into a literal hellscape just to get his revenge on you.
Despite the main character killing people before he goes on a onions filled speech about forgiving the dude and of course the guy immediately ruins any chance the main character has of killing the big bad without also killing his gf.
If the game was based enough it would have forced the MC to kill his gf, but no, they just pray and the other planet God just fixes everything.
The other 2/3 of the game is OK, if you don't mind this horseshit you can enjoy it I guess.
I thought Alphen was a fine MC but yeah i have to agree him forgiving Vholran soured my opinion on him. He had been killing villains left and right he botched it when it mattered the most, Black person could've killed his lover if not for the spirit bomb asspull in the end.
Well at least they ended up married which is the first actual romantic closure since Hearts or Graces, whichever came first.
Because you are assaulted with shitton of dialogue every other step. You only get to actually experience gameplay briefly before you end up listening to someone's sob story again. Rinse and repeat.
I hated the fact that 90% of the game was on the occupied planet. I thought we would be on there for maybe 40-50% then we would get to the giant planet in the sky, but then we get massive 2-3 hour exposition dump and we're at end game. Shit pacing, shit plot. Didn't feel like a Tales game either.
There are not many game I've regretted completing as much as I did this one
I hate this game so fricking much that I hope the entire franchise dies because of this shit game
>inb4 "muh het ships THO"
NO YOU homosexualS ARE LITERAL TUMBLR TRASH
NO ONE CARES ABOUT WHO FRICKS WHO
I played Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Vesperia back when they were new and liked them quite a bit. Later, I tried Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Arise which I didn't enjoy and dropped a few hours in. Which tales game should I try based on that? Berseria maybe?
If you already played Vesperia and didn't like Abyss I would say try Destiny DC. The series is all over the place and only a few of the games are actually good
the people who were shackled by the lord and the lords who were shackled by their doctrine. Both by realizing that the shackles was the fear dogmas and ignorance in themselves.
The combat was pretty poor and the cast/story/skits were even worse, I didn’t outright hate it but it wasn’t much fun either
Good opening theme though, I’ll give it that
Because it's only a Tales game in name and that alone.
It's a generic JRPG game that could never keep a consistent playerbase of its own accord due to a lack of general charm.
I gave this a fair chance but it was boring shit. The pacing was fricked and the two main cover characters were awful. Abyss combat is dated trash and the fonon system is whack but the story and characters were engaging enough it allowed me to experience the game all the way to the end at least.
>why did this generic regurgitated weebshit fail to make an impact
i liked it
How is it different than every other AJRPG?
Weakest in the series
Weakest villains too
Didn't say the magic words
Kept you waiting huh?
tales in general is shit, this is one of the better ones
tales fans are gay and badass looking characters don't appeal to them

What logic? You replied to three waifuposts that have nothing to do with the game
it's kinda just meh, I enjoyed it at the time but can't remember anything about it
In 5-10 years we have a new generation of people saying that this is their favorite Tales game since it was the first one they played.
There are only three good Tales games
eternia, legendia, and destiny dc
>an impact
A Genshin Impact?

HP bloat bosses are a blight upon jrpgs

But Tales is all about the het ships, except for Zestiria which is all about the yuri ship

For me Berseria was a slog to play through. Try Graces or Hearts.
If you already played Vesperia and didn't like Abyss I would say try Destiny DC. The series is all over the place and only a few of the games are actually good
what ended up arising in this tale?
it was a pun for "A rice" as in "a grain of rice" since it's a cooking game.
oh that's pretty funny actually
That Wonder Chef super boss was brutal.

My dick

Xillia remake when? It was my favorite

>watching a guy stream Bearsia
man, I missed out on something fierce just because I went "this is associated with Zesy, frick this"
one of the most boring games I've ever played, almost as boring as Atelier games, especially Ryza 1 & 2
Shoulda had a switch release.

Boring story and boring characters. Even Phantasia is more memorable.
