It's not technically p2w because you can hypothetically re-roll every stage infinitely until you get lucky enough to beat it, but realistically you NEED at least 3 or 4 "meta" IDs (RCliff, RIshmael, W Ryoshu, Spicebush, etc.)
You also need Faust's Fluid Sac. I shit you not, I went from struggling to get to Cycle 2 before turn 100 to beating RR2 in 220 turns, and the only thing that changed is putting Fluid Sac on my team

5 hp isn't even a band-aid and the condition doesn't really help someone who needs healing. even if it just gave 5 hp passively to everyone each turn it would've been negligible. Taking too long to make new content ironically enough. Despite pushing out identities and EGO’s every week or so, the actual content of the game remains the same if you’re a consistent player >Log on >Do dailies >Collect shards >Log off
Every week it’s the same 7 bosses and the same daily fight against N Corp. It was okay as a holdover for a couple of weeks, but this has become the “normal” now. This is what a majority of hours spent on the game has now become. Railway wasn’t even a good distraction, or a worthwhile one either. It had two cool fights, which requires sitting through a whole bunch of boring fights to experience. Chapter 4.5 was boring, even with the Ruina fan service. Chapter 4 was kino at the end, but a majority of it was boring. Limbus Company just doesn’t have a whole lot of anything to show for the hours sink into it.
The appeal of the PM games has been the lore and interesting world building mixed with hard as frick gameplay. Limbus Company has yet to be actually difficult, and is showcasing some not too stellar world building, despite being able to dedicate a lot more time to fleshing out some potentially awesome as frick set pieces and places. Some of the most interesting elements are either tie overs from Ruina or are a short story in the form of the identity lore drops. We still don’t know a whole lot about Dante or Limbus Company as a whole. We still don’t know a whole lot of anything. I understand it’s still very much the “start” of the story, but at this point I’ve almost pumped more hours into Limbus than Lobcorp and Ruina combined, and there just isn’t anything to show for it.
That, combined with all the dumb drama with the feminism shit basically killed any interest most people have in this game at this point.

I personally felt like I was too much of an automaton. I log in, do the same quick dailies everyday, log off. Railroad 1 was fun challenging content though.
But there's no incentive otherwise for me to collect characters, play with characters, build them etc.
At that point, just give me a one-button press that does all these daily tasks for me so I can wait for the next railroad or story update.
At the end of season 1 I was a f2p with the exception of the season pass. Doing all of my dailies I had exactly enough resources to get and max out every single id. I dropped the game the second they announced the level cap and uptie cap increase. With the existing scaling it was pretty clear it was going to be impossible for me as a f2p to continue my perfect account status into season 2 and I felt like all of my effort was shit on. I unironically wanted ID power creep to be the game's progression over this endless leveling of old IDs.
I stopped having fun playing it and rr2/toyko showcase didnt spark my interest, I like the story but everything between chapter releases is just not worth it

Just remove a coin from each of his skills, it's that simple to make it fair to other SSR units. It'll also let him last longer in a fight without instantly running out of ammo if the enemy or boss somehow doesn't die to quit oppression
Ganchung actually got a buff in the new update. You can ensure he's the target of base don's 10% pierce buff, ting tang hon lu's 20% buff, mariachis sinclair's 10% buff, and blade lineage outis's 30% damage up on enemies and boss parts below 25% hp

There's no real waifu collection aspect for the gachagays to obsess over

The funniest part is that the second point occurred due to their handling of the third. They scared off a large chunk of their demographic for some loud people mad that Ishmael wasn't in a sexy swimsuit and then that latter group never actually picked up the game anyway.
It left Limbus in this awkward position where the only folks left are the diehards who want to see how things end and they're getting alienated because of the content drought that's happening. Regardless of who wants to ramble about gender politics, if PM backed up the artist that was being harassed they wouldn't have lost as many as they did to the controversy and what's left of the playerbase isn't going to last for long considering their overreliance on EGO banners to fill in the gaps for actual content additions.

Why did they not give her Morale Boost? Why make her a stupid clash lose tremor and rupture hybrid that does nothing well? Why make skill 3 drop tremor count and not tremor potency? She could have been an offensive tremor user where LCCB is a defensive one, not inflicting as much potency or count as LCCB but stacking Morale Boost up to 5 off of tremored enemies for a permanent 50% damage up

Anon, I was getting like 600+ damage with NClair using Rodion's support passive. Spice Yi Sang can do absurd damage with sinking as well, but you need a team and setup for that. Priest Rodion just enables it outright

It's not technically p2w because you can hypothetically re-roll every stage infinitely until you get lucky enough to beat it, but realistically you NEED at least 3 or 4 "meta" IDs (RCliff, RIshmael, W Ryoshu, Spicebush, etc.)
You also need Faust's Fluid Sac. I shit you not, I went from struggling to get to Cycle 2 before turn 100 to beating RR2 in 220 turns, and the only thing that changed is putting Fluid Sac on my team

Every week it’s the same 7 bosses and the same daily fight against N Corp. It was okay as a holdover for a couple of weeks, but this has become the “normal” now. This is what a majority of hours spent on the game has now become. Railway wasn’t even a good distraction, or a worthwhile one either. It had two cool fights, which requires sitting through a whole bunch of boring fights to experience. Chapter 4.5 was boring, even with the Ruina fan service. Chapter 4 was kino at the end, but a majority of it was boring. Limbus Company just doesn’t have a whole lot of anything to show for the hours sink into it.
The appeal of the PM games has been the lore and interesting world building mixed with hard as frick gameplay. Limbus Company has yet to be actually difficult, and is showcasing some not too stellar world building, despite being able to dedicate a lot more time to fleshing out some potentially awesome as frick set pieces and places. Some of the most interesting elements are either tie overs from Ruina or are a short story in the form of the identity lore drops. We still don’t know a whole lot about Dante or Limbus Company as a whole. We still don’t know a whole lot of anything. I understand it’s still very much the “start” of the story, but at this point I’ve almost pumped more hours into Limbus than Lobcorp and Ruina combined, and there just isn’t anything to show for it.
That, combined with all the dumb drama with the feminism shit basically killed any interest most people have in this game at this point.

I personally felt like I was too much of an automaton. I log in, do the same quick dailies everyday, log off. Railroad 1 was fun challenging content though.
But there's no incentive otherwise for me to collect characters, play with characters, build them etc.
At that point, just give me a one-button press that does all these daily tasks for me so I can wait for the next railroad or story update.
At the end of season 1 I was a f2p with the exception of the season pass. Doing all of my dailies I had exactly enough resources to get and max out every single id. I dropped the game the second they announced the level cap and uptie cap increase. With the existing scaling it was pretty clear it was going to be impossible for me as a f2p to continue my perfect account status into season 2 and I felt like all of my effort was shit on. I unironically wanted ID power creep to be the game's progression over this endless leveling of old IDs.
I stopped having fun playing it and rr2/toyko showcase didnt spark my interest, I like the story but everything between chapter releases is just not worth it

They chased off a lot of people in it for the lore and shipping with their company drama.
There's no real waifu collection aspect for the gachagays to obsess over
So they just kinda shit the bed in all the important bits for a game like this being successful.
The funniest part is that the second point occurred due to their handling of the third. They scared off a large chunk of their demographic for some loud people mad that Ishmael wasn't in a sexy swimsuit and then that latter group never actually picked up the game anyway.
It left Limbus in this awkward position where the only folks left are the diehards who want to see how things end and they're getting alienated because of the content drought that's happening. Regardless of who wants to ramble about gender politics, if PM backed up the artist that was being harassed they wouldn't have lost as many as they did to the controversy and what's left of the playerbase isn't going to last for long considering their overreliance on EGO banners to fill in the gaps for actual content additions.
