You don't wanna do that. After the MTX got announced, sales for TSR spiked dramatically. So much that it was the second best selling Sonic game for the year.

Sonic is more expressive a character (half anime, half rubber hose cartoon), has the better soundtrack, and a wider variety of locations. Sonic Forces isn't even good, but it somewhat appeals to those qualities by nature of being a Sonic game.
Crash is more of a scrimblo bimblo character, if you've seen one you've seen them all. There isn't a unique hook.

I always heard that it WAS bad, but not outrageously so like most sonic games. Like, a 6/10 or something, not a 4/10.
