Palworld is extremely comfy. I'm going to buy it though Steam when it releases instead of through game pass. I kinda wish I could make something like that one day.
The game is pretty short, people just turn up the XP rate in world settings, level up, catch all the pals and quit. There aren't any other worth while activities yet, multiplayer is completely pointless as it is now. It really needs pvp servers and more content for mid/late/endgame, they also need to tune down on the grind from mid to late game so players don't have to spend 50 hours drilling rocks and catching 1000 duplicate pals to reach endgame at 1x XP rate. Battling should yield a lot more XP and perhaps unlock hidden perks for pals so you don't have to catch as many.

I dunno. Given how frequently they boast about numbers, the devs REALLY seem to care about the perception of popularity of this game, and that would logically include steam player counts. Perhaps it's just ego, or perhaps it's because the only news this game gets is when it reaches a new sales or concurrent steam numbers milestone.
The games entire popularity is built around it's popularity so they have motive to keep that perception up, even fraudulently.
I've seen online shop scambots and I seriously don't understand how it could work. Especially since you can only have 32 characters on a server (perhaps active at a time). Is the idea there are bots who cheat in gear and pals and when you buy online the bot would drop those at your feet? Or is it more likely that you just use your parent's credit card to get scammaz'd. Only really the first few hours are engaging. You also do not develop any connection to your Pals like you do in Pokemon. You are just handed way too many at once and there is a clear progression that makes 99% essentially immediately replaceable once you find the better version.

The game is pretty short, people just turn up the XP rate in world settings, level up, catch all the pals and quit. There aren't any other worth while activities yet, multiplayer is completely pointless as it is now. It really needs pvp servers and more content for mid/late/endgame, they also need to tune down on the grind from mid to late game so players don't have to spend 50 hours drilling rocks and catching 1000 duplicate pals to reach endgame at 1x XP rate. Battling should yield a lot more XP and perhaps unlock hidden perks for pals so you don't have to catch as many.
this is the only reason(s) because i still haven't gotten to level 50 in my world yet and i've got 50+ hours in the game

I dunno. Given how frequently they boast about numbers, the devs REALLY seem to care about the perception of popularity of this game, and that would logically include steam player counts. Perhaps it's just ego, or perhaps it's because the only news this game gets is when it reaches a new sales or concurrent steam numbers milestone.
The games entire popularity is built around it's popularity so they have motive to keep that perception up, even fraudulently.
I've seen online shop scambots and I seriously don't understand how it could work. Especially since you can only have 32 characters on a server (perhaps active at a time). Is the idea there are bots who cheat in gear and pals and when you buy online the bot would drop those at your feet? Or is it more likely that you just use your parent's credit card to get scammaz'd. When I went into pub's I never saw more than a single name or two spamming url's.

I love the game, but I can't deny it has serious flaws and some core aspects and mechanics of the game need to be completely reworked from the ground-up for a finalized release.
