Why did so many people (including me) kill the chicken in Riverwood? What’s the scientific reason behind it?

Curiosity. It's potentially free loot and most people know to never attack chickens in Zelda games so they get curious about other chickens in other games.
To watch the whole town flip out and scream murder
this thread makes me feel like an alien because i never once did this or even considered doing this
same
I didn't because I hate the thought of potentially braining a valuable merchant over a minor infraction.
There is a chicken in RiverWood?
if you did your research then you knew that the chicken could report you for crimes, if it saw you doing something illegal you would gain a bounty
if you didn't know this and just killed the chicken for no reason then you are probably a psychopath, and it's a good thing vide games exist so you can stay a shut-in killing virtual creatures instead of spreading your sick mentality IRL
It gets in the way of big spells and sword swings when a dragon or the wolves up the road attack the town.
It was a witness.
Fricking snitch gets what it deserves.
t. redguard
Horses in Oblivion could also report crimes
everything can report crimes, if you're "Detected" by anything while committing a crime it will be "reported".
>Rob a store while the town is under attack by a Dragon and all the guards are distracted
>Dragon calls the cops it's actively fighting to report my ass
And that's the story of how my Dragonborn stopped ignoring their destiny and started actually fighting Dragons.
Does anyone remember those chickens on the first level on Crash Twinsanity? They always ran away from Crash, so you could chase them into nitros to clear a path to get a gem lmfao
never even occurred to me to do that
It has chickens? I only saw cows and horses and dogs.
There were cows in skyrim?
yea you can see painted versions of them out in the wild being led to the giant camps by rando farmers. usually ending with both getting admitted to the imperial space academy for their efforts.
