Turns out Strivegays were Sgays all along and not even a character as important as That Man could save this simplified piece of trash fighting game because no one knows about him
fired it up to see and oddly it's still doing just fine. I don't think it'll ever die as long as it's on gamepass.
could really use a balance patch though.
The "competitive" cycle moved on. Keep making fighting games for "competitive" players and keep wondering why they never stick around. Meanwhile games like Tekken 5 never get old because they're just fun
This. Despite there being nothing to fighting games outside of the tryhard ladder, they are a FOTM genre. Imagine burning $30-$60 for something where the only enjoyment is in stressful training for data you won't even care about in a month from now
You don't play competitive fighting games or you'd realise how wrong this is. What actually happens is all the casuals leave for the next game and the competitive players stay behind. Because virtually every game has good online now you don't have to play what's popular anymore while before you basically had to deal with whatever your locals played. If you want to play +R, KoF, Skullgirls or whatever all these games will have their competitive communities basically forever that you can join at any time. If you're a serious player you'll travel out to events as well which will feature them.
Don't understand why people like you say stuff like this that is literally the opposite of the truth, surely even you in your head knew when you were typing it you had no fricking idea?
People who didn't play the game will say it's because bridget troon'd out, but the sad reality is that this is the case for basically any fighting game that isn't tekken or street fighter. The game was destined to have maybe a few hundred sweaty fricks who autistically dedicate themselves to the game and shit on newbies who pick it up during a sale. The fact that it's still abbove 1k even now is better than I'd have expected but the game is still being supported by new characters. The bridget shit was just good publicity and squeezed out some sales from people who were inevitably going to drop the game in a month.
The way this game and sf6 mindbroke people to the point of delusion here was so strange.
+r had rollback before strive released and nothing was stopping people from playing it, xrd got rollback and nothing stopped people from playing or talking about it but that shit disappeared like 3 days after getting rollback, and sf3 is on fightcade so the usual "where sf3 char, why not like sf3" shit didn't make sense.
Because the network issues that took way too long to be addressed both hid it from the public and made it harder to fricking play.
It's kinda bad when nobody can stream your game because the moment they go online their game shits itself.
It's worse that people that do want to play it have to deal with their opponents having connectivity issues even if their game is fine.
People couldn't see it or play it and they moved the frick on. Then sf6 came out that people will cling to because that's where the money is rn, both competitively and content-creation wise.
Also a tip, if you need your game to be "alive" to play it, give up and boot up dota or w/e. Fighting games will never stay "alive". You can take your autistic discord circlejerks or leave them.
It wasn't SF6 that did it, that's just a convenient excuse, it's been declining for pretty much the whole past year due to just bad decisions and management from Arcsys >xbox crossplay fricked the servers for months, only just recently improved but really just back to how they were before that which wasn't that great either >hacker issue killing online tournaments and streamers >three bad DLC characters in a row: Sin released heavily undertuned, Bedman's gimmick is inherently unfun to use, and Asuka is just Happy Chaos again with a bunch of RNG >Mid season balance patch changed absolutely nothing, bad characters stayed just as bad, good characters stayed just as good, only characters who really benefited were Testament and Bridget who were just brought up to the power levels they should have been from release
Fighting game cycle. >Dude trust me buy it it's so friendly to new players unlike the last one >A month later everyone but the sweatiest ranked mode players has gotten tired of losing online and moves on
naw dudes and trannies are gonna try to pretend THATS JUST FIGHTING GAME BROS but alot of people hated that bridget shit and on a lesser scale the testament shit who else are they gonna bring back now and trannify
>not playing a still played and populated GG game with full crossplay = killing game
Dude guilty gear has remained a troony game since xrd lol, more of a troony AND annoying homosexual game which applies to all GG games barring the 1st but still. also refer to
Strive is still doing good
EVO says it has more players for Strive than last year
it's a 2 year old anime fighter, of course it's dying out
it was pretty lucky to launch when people were extremely sick of SFV, but there was never any question that it would lose most players when 6 launched.
still it was a very successful hit for a series that was very niche in an already niche genre, they might be able to build on this with future releases
Im not a fan of soive but it still keeps over 2k players daily after over 2 years and thats just Steam while theres crossplay and game is on Game Pass and playstation consoles. For anime fighter thats very impressive.
OP this must be your first anime fighter lmao
Everything besides Tekken, SF, and maybe MK is doomed to have player counts drop off hard after a couple years.
we need another man to turn into a transgirl to get the hype back sisters..
I nominate Kliff
Sol
Alternate Order Sol who survived Sol killing her and found her true self, then went back to the present to tell Sol about it
This genuinely would generate a lot of attention. People loved Rule 63 Terry.
it would also be funny if they/them had incel voicelines
can we make elphelt a guy
Everyone forgot about it before that, truth is, no one gives a shit about fighting games besides autistic people and trannies, it isn't 1993 anymore.
Turns out Strivegays were Sgays all along and not even a character as important as That Man could save this simplified piece of trash fighting game because no one knows about him
Why does japan love LGBT shit so much?
because esg gibs are international
once what?
lel, all your fighting games belong to arcade store
everyone's waiting for the KING to return
him and Johnny, i need Johnny to return too
to be honest I had more fun in Strive than SF6
every fighting game is flavor of the month since forever. why kid yourself? oh wait youre a moron i forgot for a sec
melee, fighterz and the funny cat game are here to stay
No one can compete against LukeGAWD.
fired it up to see and oddly it's still doing just fine. I don't think it'll ever die as long as it's on gamepass.
could really use a balance patch though.
No one actually plays anime fighters
The "competitive" cycle moved on. Keep making fighting games for "competitive" players and keep wondering why they never stick around. Meanwhile games like Tekken 5 never get old because they're just fun

I'm glad doomposters moved on to spamming SF6 threads. They're generally very annoying.
Because the network issues that took way too long to be addressed both hid it from the public and made it harder to fricking play.

Fighting games are niche and until Strive hits season 3, it has little keeping the engine going in live service times
People are expecting SERIOUS shake-ups when season 3 hits though and if it's just "same game with a few characters" there's going to be trouble though
Fighting game cycle.
>Dude trust me buy it it's so friendly to new players unlike the last one
>A month later everyone but the sweatiest ranked mode players has gotten tired of losing online and moves on
If you're not playing to win, why are you playing at all?
this. honestly its because there was no new characters until season 3 and happy chaos was the only interesting one
wat
>the only people playing a game are people playing the game
Woah that's like so insightful
Xrd2 > Strive
Thank you Sherlock
I'm still getting matches.
Weird.
naw dudes and trannies are gonna try to pretend THATS JUST FIGHTING GAME BROS but alot of people hated that bridget shit and on a lesser scale the testament shit who else are they gonna bring back now and trannify
I stopped immediately when Testiment came back looking somehow even more gay than he usually does. Bridget all but confirmed no return.
lel gatekept.
I'd rather see Guilty Gear die off forever than remain a troony game. If that means doing my part of putting the bullet in the shotgun, so be it.
>troony threatening suicide
Go for it, nobody cares.
Luckily most of us aren't mentally ill and care about the actual video game
>bullet in the shotgun
>not playing a still played and populated GG game with full crossplay = killing game
Dude guilty gear has remained a troony game since xrd lol, more of a troony AND annoying homosexual game which applies to all GG games barring the 1st but still. also refer to
It wasn’t a good guilty gear. All the new players it was courting turned out to be SF gays.
it's a 2 year old anime fighter, of course it's dying out

GBFV is catching up in players its time to make the switch
Im not a fan of soive but it still keeps over 2k players daily after over 2 years and thats just Steam while theres crossplay and game is on Game Pass and playstation consoles. For anime fighter thats very impressive.
OP this must be your first anime fighter lmao
Everything besides Tekken, SF, and maybe MK is doomed to have player counts drop off hard after a couple years.
Unfortunately it didn't
Strive is still doing good
EVO says it has more players for Strive than last year
>take amazing netcode
>lock it behind the single most frustrating and nonfunctional matchmaking system that has ever been in a fighting game
