    do what?

Because it's an objective improvement. It runs way fricking faster now and game overlay is million times better and more useful. You can actually browse the internet now and have notes for games.

Would be actually best if they did that change before Elden Ring release but it will do for the DLC.

steam has an actual rabid self-loathing established fanbase finely tuned over the years, that calls shit like Epic Games chinkshit spyware but then hop on to garbage like discord and use facebook messenger

I don't give a shit how it looks since I only need the mini game list. What pisses me off is the forced CEF that can take upwards of 1GB RAM. I used to barely scrape by on free RAM and now I need to close my browser with all the good hentai lined up for the rest of the week. It's fricking annoying.
As long as there's a -vgui option I can still kill the steamwebhelper processes once I started and logged in and use access controls to keep them from restarting and the mini list client actually works the way I need it so it's moronic to force this CEF shit on everyone.

Anon the computer is smarter than you. Free RAM is meaningless. You do have 16GB right?

        Anonymous

No, my shitbox only has 12GB DDR3 RAM. That one gigabyte used by the CEF is the lynchpin on which running a game without swapping memory pages hangs on.
Having to finally upgrade to a new generation of NSA backdoored hardware not because of my weeb games with modest requirements but the fricking game launcher is entirely fricked.

          >Having to finally upgrade to a new generation of NSA backdoored hardware
Don't worry, your current hardware is just as compromised even if it's not as well known. They've been backdooring shit since 9/11.

    whats even the fricking point?

Yeah I have no idea why or who would use the overlay webbrowser when it's easier and more convenient to just alt-tab and use your own
I'm not going to deal with vanilla chrome
