The biggest problem with the game is how bad the tutorial are at explaining the mechanics.
Gacha, shit character designs (even the main characters are ridiculous titty monsters, and some of the side characters are even wrose), protagonist is literally a little boy, hardly anyone can relate.
It did appeal to a certain pahetic horny loser niche, because badly designed big titty anime girls were grooming the protagonist, something they wish would happen to them, but to normal people the whole things is creepy and in bad taste.
Overall a terrible follow up to Xenoblade if you are normal (non-degenerate).
Because the fans of XC2 constantly prove that they have no other reasons to like Xeno other than the porn, and being able to self-insert as the homosexual shonen protag, which in itself is also entirely related to the porn, by only being able making threads like this one?
There are actual hentai games that have people less 'down bad' fandoms on Ganker than XC2.
Blade 2 fans are their own worst enemy. All it took was 3 leaking for them to prove what every shitposter had been saying about them. 3 and it's fans have their own issues though.

It's localization. Americans are soft on violence hard on sex, Japan is hard on violence soft on sex. I personally think the Japanese approach is more coherent, since I have more sympathy for the notion that kids being exposed to graphic decapitations is more damaging to their psyche than breasts, but the American thirst for carnage and squeamishness around sexuality has existed forever. The notion that this is somehow a sinister plot cooked up in the last 5 years by California transgenders is comically ahistorical, unless you believe that they went back in time to implement the Hays Code by fiat.

For me the Gacha, The field skills and the tutorials that only come up once and you better remember them else they're gone for ever. if it weren't for the Gacha I'd shill this game to everyone and anyone. With it I can hardly think about replaying it.

A couple of months before the 3rd came out, I gave it another go, and ultimately realized that its not only the better game, but one of the best JRPGs ever made.
