4c4t in 2022
I didn't, I was part of the 1mil. Best console purchase I've made since the 3ds.
Won't run UE5 games and everything is moving to it
Name 5 worthwhile games moving to it. 4c isn't the problem for UE5 to begin with brainlet, Van Gogh on the gpu side is already not powerful enough for UE5. It was never intended to be strong enough for 9th gen games with 8th gen console performance. If there was ever a valid argument about the specs needing to be better, it's that they should have waited for RDNA 3 since the console didn't actually launch for 99% of orders until July. But even RDNA 3 struggles with UE5 so there wouldn't be a point.
I didn't, I'm a DeckChad.
I sold mine because it could not handle 32 player 2fort without lagging.
I didn't and now it's collecting dust in my room. I keep telling myself that I'll fire it up to play some games, but I never actually do.
I canceled because i'm unemployed. I still want one someday
After I saw ebay dropped to only $80 profit
I absolutely loved it but it was a bad purchase because I never travel. It simple cannot compete with an Series x connected to a 4k oled TV. If you travel it would be amazing for long flights with a battery bank.
Realized how pointless it is when laptops already exist and can do more
You'd need to pay 3x to get a similar laptop
Got cold feet when people started getting theirs and uploading videos. Don't regret it tbh. I think it's not quite there yet but will be keeping an eye on Steam Deck 2
I decided I wanted the 256GB version instead of the 64GB one
Doesn't this have the equivalent of a 1050ti? It was long out of date on arrival.
At 800p yeah, but there's nothing in the same price bracket. You can either wait for switch 2 which nullifies the pc benefits or buy an rdna 3 umpc which will still struggle to run games at 60.
I feel like I'm missing a logical link between these two statements.
Performance of 1050ti is perfectly reasonable for the handheld, so that must be something else.
>Doesn't this have the equivalent of a 1050ti?
Closer to a 1050.
The 12CU Rembrandt 6900HS at 35w performs ever so slightly faster than a desktop 1050ti.
The Phoenix Point APU line launching next year brings an RDNA 3 IGP, and total IGP performance is going to double. That makes something like a 15w handheld pretty formidable for sub 1080p gaming.
And then you find out a 3060 barely does 30fps with the next gen at 1080p
So this will go down to barely pushing 30 at 720p
You will never escape 720p meme
wtf you talking about a 3060 would be good for 1080p 60 for the next 5 years minimum unless you switch on dumbass shit like DLSS3 which are deliberately designed by garden gnomevidia to gimp older cards.
>muh necks jen
Gaming is going nowhere performance wise until full ray tracing becomes the standard rendering mode.
i didn't pre-order it, i dont really see a need to play games on the go, the rare times im out and need to kill time i can just play a mobile game
I'm still waiting for a revision and the bite the bullet. Probably have enough money to spend for a premium model too
I reserved the 64gb model a week ago and just got the mail that it's ready. Valve wasn't kidding when they said they're ramping up production. I just finished buying a 512gb PM991a for about $60 and a set of tempered glass screen protectors on Amazon for $10. Total with tax was $512. I'm all smiles right now, because It should arrive before I leave the country next month on a trip.
Cancel the trip if you are more happy about the console...you can play games at home too.
I already have a Switch. When Valve sent the email telling me to complete the order, I was undecided so I went to a Deck general here in Ganker and all I saw was people emulating Switch games, so I guess the PC games are not worth it? So I saved myself the hassle and the money.
I have a hacked switch so no desire to emulate those games. If you can look at the entire history of videogames from the ps2 gen backwards plus all the obscure PC shit and not have anything you want to play then that's your own fault.
I just got it a week ago. Currently playing, panzer dragoon on the saturn, ridge racer 4 from ps1, Tenchu WOH from ps2 and have dishonored 2, death stranding and some VNs loaded up ready to go. First time for me that emulation feels interchangeable with contemporary games, playing old shit on a handheld removes the feeling of old jank, they just play like premium handheld games.
Awful pwm and refresh
