It's boring, no game is worth logging into daily, character design isn't as strong as in G*nshin and a couple cool story setpieces can't carry dozens of hours of shitty events and simulated universe runs
Even removing the music, this game has actually zero depth

HSR is vastly more complex than games like FF8 and the complexity is accomplished through team building

you're correct, genshin doesn't have an "endgame" like that, on purpose. games don't have to have an "endgame" that is designed for you to waste your life on. genshin is a single player jrpg that is about quests and events.
I didn't. I dropped genshin instead. Star Rail is a good game that doesnt require a lot of my daily time between content patches since I can just automate the grind, mostly.
I was pissed off by Bronya and Seele hiding the truth behind Cocolia's betrayal and it soured the entire game for me.
