Why didn't anyone tell me how kino Dishonored is? I've been sitting on this good shit for 12 years and I'm having a blast. How does part 2 and the dlc compare?

Poorly. The story and worldbuilding are much worse, and often times made to shit on stuff established in the first game - and they unironically had Anita Sarkeesian consulting on it. The gameplay itself is much more sluggish.
Dishonored 1 is kino
The Dishonored 1 DLC is also kino, arguably even better
Dishonored 2 is also kino, don't listen to the haters. Yes, the story in it sucks.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is ALSO kino, but just very short and does pretty tremendous lore rape on the series. Nonetheless, it's fun to play and will scratch the Dishonored itch.
Whole series hits.
If the story is shit it's not kino. Story is important for a LOT of players, sometimes it can be a dealbreaker. I think your take is right but there are many games with stories so bad that sometimes good gameplay only makes it an average experience compared to games with okay game-play and amazing stories, or games with both amazing stories and amazing gameplay.
>he enjoys hide and seek gameplay
Yes?
Yes. And it's even better when you can teleport everywhere
>doesn't play high chaos combat mode
ngmi
NOOOOOOOOOO MUH BAD ENDING MUUUUUH PUNISHEMNT
>There are homosexuals that literally think this
We told you it all the time.
First game is pretty good.
Do not play the second game, shit goes downhill.
like thief innit
Will never play this game because I've seen enough evidence to know the stealth is garbage. And while the adventure aspects "exploring, solving little obstacles, completing tasks" sounds appealing. I also know that the game has a dozen different abilities to trivialize everything most of the time and games like that are almost always pointless to engage with, unless they're like Deus ex where it'll sometimes deliberately restrict you so that you ACTUALLY can't just brain off use all your moronic abilities to get around everything (An example is in escaping from Unatco. If you try to blow up a robot with a TNT. It'll sound the alarm. This outcome forces you to figure other ways to deal with the robot, making the gameplay feel more natural and fluid. Another more widespread example is obviously how cameras can't exactly just be easily shot and even to turn them off you need to carefully get close to them. But honestly this is a weaker examples since you'll reach a point where you have more multitools than you need. But this can be countered just a TINY bit by increasing the multitool price)
Anyway. That's all. Shit game, almost certainly. And the fact that Ganker likes it so much, probably affirms that even more. Peace.
I think you just don't like overpowered sandbox games where a lot of freedom is able to be enjoyed by trying everything out like in Modern Warfare 2 as a second example
Yes. I didn't like Breath of The Wild. This might sound like a crazy concept. But I like all my options to actually feel meaningful and like the obstacles or encounters I'm presented with don't just FEEL like I should think about how to use all my tools smartly, but DEMAND I can prove how to use all my tools smartly.
A game like that would need an incredibly strong foundation, and incredibly tight design.
Without giving spoilers: yes, there are parts will force you to be creative with your gameplay and prevent you from just spamming your abilities.
And then for some reason at all they don't show up at all in the second game.
Play the first game - and the DLC if you end up liking D1.
I honestly don't remember this and remember needing to be strategic about what happens with bodies, lest they be spotted (duh, like every stealth game) or eaten by rats.
>I honestly don't remember this and remember needing to be strategic about what happens with bodies
You remembered wrong.

Really?
>Play the first game
Hmmm fine, if I'm desperate enough...
>nothing but constant threads praising Dishonored since day 1
>durr why did nobody tell me
What do you want, a fricking email?
>sign up for the Ganker-reccomends games list
>once a month get an email that has no games
May as well own play station
2 is better than 1. A much more focused experience
>A much more focused experience
What does this even mean exactly?
Dishonored Is shit console slop
