It only recommends stuff the algorithm pics up from your watch history and googling plus other stuff you let cookies do. If you talk and watch politics stuff in Twitter, Youtube, and shit, Youtube picks it up and recommends it to you.
For me it recommends mainly music.

You don't have to block channels. You just open low view count videos a few times and then they'll start appearing. Keep opening them and you'll get a lot more in your recommended. This works especially well for livestreams on the platform.

This game is still pulling 100,000+ active players on Steam, I seriously doubt the fanbase/creator cares about pronouns, and even if it was added I doubt it would just suddenly boost the number of active players even further despite the fact that I'm sure a large number of players are in the LGBTQ community.
